new to the forum.
i've spent quite a bit of time searching. Found some info from 2020 but a lot has happened since then. I've got a polaris for mud and rocks, this gladiator is my daily truck for a guy who loves jeeps, therefore hard surface comfort takes priority really.

Just got back from Jeep Invasion which gave us several hundred miles on the blacktop. Basically around town, dirt trails, pasture etc is fine but the 70mph highway revealed that i think i need better shocks. with imperfections in the road it seemed to gyrate/shake too much before settling down. Not death wobble (been there before), not steering that i can tell as its felt across whole truck, pretty sure its shocks -almost like the hard E-load big 37" and the soft SJ springs just need a better mate.
-skyjacker 4.5/3 with their Black Max shocks, adj drag link, dual steering stabilizer
-20x12s
-MT 37s e-loads @ 34lbs

Any suggestions on a shock for this lift kit that would be better suited specifically for recovering better after road imperfections?
thanks

i have been very happy with rock krawler's 2.25" RRD shock. (the rebuildable) bilit ones. I got them when i did my 3" RK adv lift. I am running 4.5" springs on the back to get a little more preload, but using same 3" shock as per RK's recommendation.

those black max look like cheapy twin tube hydro shocks. They work but there is room for improvement. You want a mono tube style (emulsion) shock preferably rebuildable, which means they can also be revalved if you don't like what they are doing.

if you are interested in those shocks, call RK first, tell them your setup, they have several levels of valving they can use on the shocks and maybe the 37's need something a little firmer.
