Does anyone know the difference between the Rubicon vs Non-Rubicon lift kits from Skyjacker?

I did call Skyjacker and I didn't receive a technical answer. Basically, the sales person believed that the Rubicon lift kit would add 2.5" to the Rubicon stock height whereas the Non-Rubicon kit would add 2.5 to the Non-Rubicon stock height. As for what would happen if a Rubicon kit was installed onto a Non-Rubicon, there wasn't a clear answer.

I asked if the spring rates were different and the sales rep didn't know.

I am closely looking at the 2.5/1" coil lift for my JTO. I really like the idea of the dual rate springs front and back.

If the coils are the same, it will sit the same, depending on mods/tires.

skyjacker has many lift kits for different vehicles so the reps may not be well versed on jeeps.

Doesnt really leave me warm and fuzzy. Where as Rusty's seems to really know what they are doing and have a strong focus on Jeeps.

Agreed. While some say the factory Rubi springs are taller, some say they’re just stiffer, everyone agrees the Rubi sets higher because the springs. Not that “it’s just higher” as this particular Skyjacker service person seems to say.
It really confuses me that the parts lists show the same numbers for the springs in both kits. The spring should either be longer or stiffer in the Rubi kit and therefore a different part.

Edit——after looking more closely at the parts lists, the springs are indeed different for the Rubi kit vs Non Rubi kit. The weird thing is, both front springs for Rubi share a part number and both for non Rubi share a part number. Drivers side and passenger side should be different.

Does anybody here run one of the Skyjacker kits? Are you happy with it?

I am about to run the 2.5 coil lift. Was going to install it this morning however I ran into a snag when I noticed one of the front coils was alot longer than the other one. Turns out Skyjacker packaged a wrong spring in the box. They are making it right and sending me the proper coil. Once I install the lift I will report back.
