I fed the extra back in and under the buckle. I pulled it flat so no sag then fed the tail end back through. I tightened them around the side of the roll bar then rotated them. The metal part is a little easier to get the slack out. The covers are holding up well. They snap on so they are pretty tight no 3m or anything. The door trim is staying no problems. I'm sure after a while they will fade but heck for as cheap as they are no big loss.
