Smartcap owners i need your help

My smartcap is on the way & I am currently working on an in-bed platform before it gets here.

Could someone please provide me the width between the clamps that hold the topper to the bed? I need the green line measurement below.

52 1/2” but I am using stainless electrical strut, but I am against the cap. Mine is a 2021 model, I think I would not commit to an exact fit until it is here …..Jack

This is perfect thank you. I made the shelf platform 54" so its about 1.5" clearance with the factory rails on either side

I just needed to see approximately how far in i need to cut the relief slot for the center clamp as that's the only one that interferes with the platform.

Hey Rob , one other thing ,the Smart Cap is going to handle the NY winters a whole lot better then the rack you are selling.
Pa. Loves using brine and salt on roads! I surf fish a lot and during a few rough weather days the inside of my Smart Cap gets totally white from the salt spray , I pressure wash the inside every so often still looks great!
Yes in that picture I sent you that is beach sand on base of cap, stuff gets all over….Jack

Yep it being stainless is one of the main reasons I went with it. This state sucks.
