So I need lights. But I'm not spending 2-3k for a setup that'll get run maybe once a month.

Alright. I had to do a night recovery the other day and had a brown pants moment. I was on a tiny mountain backroad and rounded a steep corner and thought i drove my truck clean of the mountain side. I have LED bulbs in my headlights but that's about it. They are dialed perfect for road use no one flashes me and the high beam is adequate. However i would like to actually see where i'm driving in areas with no light pollution and the trees dense enough to block the moon. I'm gonna throw away the cheap amazon amber floods i got, they were great on my Tundra but have since faded after to many hard years. I have budget set aside for a lot of other things on my truck so i don't wanna fork over for lights. So i'd like rock lights preferably amber and 6 min. x2 Front driving pods in white that i can slap amber covers on if needed. And a cheap led amber fog solution for the stock fog location. I'd like to keep this a cheap as possible without buying literal crap. I'll leave the Baja Designs to the taco bro dozers at the mall. I want something i can smack clean off on a tight trail and not wince. Some ditch lights and chase lights would be cool but i don't think my budget will stretch that far rn. depending on ya'll's recommendations. I got a lot of maintenance to tie up as well as armor to install. I don't wanna be that guy throwing on lights before addressing more key issues. TIA.

Diode dynamics. I’ve got some max’s and have beat em, they stand up to the test.
Little more expensive than Amazon brands but worth it for the quality.
They also make it simple to change optics, face plates, etc.

edit to add, they also have rock lights but I’m not sure how that pricing compares to others on the market.

Harbor Freight's new Edge series might be what you’re looking for.
Saw those.. very tempted.. wish the larger pair came with varying optics besides a combo.

If you don't care about Chinese made, AuxBeam have been surpisingly durable. The LED bar has taken some nasty hits and survived with no breakage. However, the aluminum is showing corrosion very fast. You've basically got to paint them the minute you put them on the truck to ensure it stays in good shape. But functionally, they've been good.

As for domestic, I've been watching Ebay and picking up KCs when I find them for good deals.

$150 per light for the 6 led! So $300 for two. Still not a bad deal

I have on of their switch modules. I love its simplicity.

Take a cheap shot all you want, the LP series are the best pods on the market and it's not even close. I had a pair of LP6 Pros on my JT and never felt I needed more. The near spread with the IPT lights is so good that I never ran ditch lights and the throw on the combo pattern gave full coverage at speed road or trail.

They're obviously not cheap, but your primary forward lights should be the biggest investment. Stick the Chinese stuff everywhere else.
