This might be sticky worthy; if people get something out if it.

I’ve been appreciative of the feedback I’ve gotten on my lift/build approach. It’s lead to alot of DM’s and thread questions. Now, I certainly don’t mind one bit, because Im here to learn and help where I can. That said, some of the same questions kept resurfacing, so I figured it would be helpful to just do a methodology thread.

There are, of course, other people here with lifted Mojaves who can and should chime in. My approach was absolutely the best one for my needs, but it was one approach of many to fit one person’s incredibly specific criteria. Vid with a shout out to @MoparToYou

So, we are back at the chalk board discussing methodology of lifting a Mojave. Below this, are links to a previous chalk board on damper function, and the link to my build thread. My truck came up 3” with the springs, so there are additional steps that had to be taken over a 2” spacer.

As always, ready to help and answer Q’s. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for the videos Kurt, they were interesting to watch. But then again, I could discuss suspension forever if given the chance.

Let us know what you think about those Fox 3.0s when you get a chance to run them. I went with the less costly spacer lift on this Mojave because I plan on replacing it with another Gladiator, ... as soon as Mopar puts the 392 in a Gladiator. On that Gladiator I plan on using the Fox 3.0s.

Without much research I lifted mine right after getting. My goal was to retain the stock ride as much as I can. I've got a 2' spacer lift front and rear. Teraflex lower sport arms, Front Adj track bar and bracket, rear track bar relocation bracket, shock /bumpstop extensions. Using 35's. My question is do I need or will I benefit from a driveshaft coupling bearing drop spacer? Thanks for starting this thread.

I dont think anyone other than me will say it is needed. I highly recommend it based on how it corrects drive shaft angle and lets more of the drive shaft adjust the angle, not just the rear section. Plus, they are cheap, so i view it as very cheap insurance.

I purchased the rock jock it's here in front of me. Before I install it, is there any down sides? As in I wont be over correcting or causing issues elsewhere? The spacer looks like 3/4 inch. The Mojave has a 2 inch spacer lift. Lifted many short wheelbase vehicles this is a first for me having to deal with a driveshaft coupler. Thanks in advance.
No downsides or issues of any kind known to me. Your wheel base will shorten, but alon the arc of the shaft.

When you get under the truck youll see how it spaces the fore section Basically think of a line from A to B, moving B, and only bending half the line to correct. The spacer drop corrects that.

Bringing this back up for a specific question on the carrier bearing spacer... Has anyone found a torque spec?

Thought there might be one considering it holds part of the driveline in place.

I cant help there, sorry. I just did red locktite and lock washers; and went to “yeah that feels tight”

No issues a couple thousand miles in. Because the carrier bearing horseshoe doesnt actually squeeze the bearing itself, i didnt worry about it too much.

hmm maybe locktite is a good idea. I didn't even think of that after I saw the lock washers.

I haven't read anything anywhere (including Dana's spacers) that provides a torque spec for the carrier bearing specifically. Just figured something holding the driveshaft in place would have a spec ?‍♂

Teraflex adjustable trackbar question. I was just under my Mojave and noticed that when I grab a hold of the bar, it rocks back and forth clanking in the mounts. Bolts are torqued. Is this slop normal? The play seems between the bolt and the sleve/bushing thingy.
