Anyone have pictures of their soft top, complete removal- with the brackets still on? Im considering buying thumbscrews so I can fully disconnect the soft top easily. However, I am not sure what it would even look like if I left the brackets on (because it would take 10 minutes to take them off and on, not worth it if its going to rain tomorrow etc.) I saw this photo on another site, but its only one angle and I cant make it bigger.

Just to summarize- i dont want to flip back the soft top- i want to remove it by removing the 4 screws that hold it in place. I dont want to remove all of the brackets. I have attached a link. I am trying to decide if it is even worth it

Of course it's worth it.
maybe 15 minutes by yourself. 2 corners, back window. Fold top back and remove 4 screws. They really did a nice job on these new tops

While not a thumb screw, the T50 bit in the tool kit wouldn’t take much longer.

I did the thumb screw thing. 5min and the top is off. Put it in the back under the tonneau cover.

5 minutes to remove all 4 bolts. Note of caution. When i re-installed the top, it was too far forward and when i went to the car wash, it leaked. Had to move it back to meet the windshield header. Now i pay attention that there is some "play" and you need to make sure its aligned properly.

What the thumb screws and any videos on how to do this? I haven’t received my glad yet but want to remove the soft top completely at times.

It's easy to take the top off with the factory supplied tool for the 4 bolts. I can put it on by myself too, however, putting it on is easier if you have someone help. Can't really tell the top rails are on, it looks fine. I wouldn't use thumbscrews, those 4 bolts are under a lot of strain at highway speeds when the top is folded back.

FWIW I use aftermarket hard top thumb screws to hold my soft top on.
I have had them on since shortly after buying mine in 2021 with no signs of failures.
Now I do find them a bit loose from time to time and snug them up when I do.
I also say I need to throw a little Loctite on them, but have yet to do it.

Yea, its not a big deal to use the tool.
However, much like replacing the screws on my Wranglers hard top with thumb screws, its just makes it that much easier and quicker.

Same with replacing the door hinge screws with alignment pins, every little bit adds up if you remove/replace things often.
