Soft top leak above windshield.

Will start this off by saying that I've been more generous with my dealer than I should be. When I picked up my Mojave, it had the premium soft top package, but the actual folding top material was sail cloth. Whatever, wanted the truck and told them I'd swap the top off my trade in Sport and still take it.

Few days later we got a light rain and I noticed a small leak. No big deal, adjusted the latch positions to tighten up the front seal.

Last night we got a steady downpour, went out to the truck this morning and passenger floor is soaked. Pealed back the seal between soft top and windshield frame and found this. Time to raise a bit of hell at the dealership.

Folded down windshield after getting home and got some more pictures. There was major damage done at some point. Will be expecting a new windshield frame because of all the bent metal.

New windshield frame being ordered under warranty. Hopefully it's not a crazy wait for the part.

My truck finally went to the shop today to replace the windshield surround. Only a 4 month wait on the parts, I guess at least it was a dry few months. ?‍

Picked up my truck today, leaking gas struts were replaced on the soft top, and window surround and all seals were replaced.

Now the problem I'm having is the soft top doesn't fold back all the way. This service department has lost my business, and I will figure out what they assembled wrong on my own. At least there are more dealerships around that I can go to for other things.

Nope, never admitted to anything. I'm guessing damage during transit that was attempted to be covered up, since they tried selling it to me with a base soft top instead of the twill one. It looked like something heavy was dropped right where the soft top clamps down on, because there was only a slight indent on the visible part of the windshield frame.

So, my soft top no longer folds all the way back to rest on the stops. I'm pretty sure they didn't use the right replacement struts because they were backorder. Anyone able to get a picture of the proper struts? I have so Stabilus ones on there now that aren't oem.
