Software update lost functions !?!?!?

Jeep just did an ota update on my 2024 mohave

No longer have control of my auto dimming mirror but they added a control for power sliding steps (which i do not have)

Worse - angry wife- the duel zone no longer has a temp on the display just a static gif red to blue. I find no option to set to actual temp again.

Anyone have this problem?

Not today..but give it some time. I know the last time I noticed they did an update, things were ‘different’ at first but eventually cleared themselves up.

Radio Infotainment head unit has to do a cold reboot. That means ignition off, doors closed & locked and left for a few hours with overnight being ideal. Sometimes has to be done twice before it will reconfigure correctly to your vehicle options

As @Hootbro explained, I would give it two or three driving cycles to get everything back.

Curious if you still have OffRoad +?

I had the same issue last week after the software update. If you go to the system menu there's an option to restart UConnect and that put it back to normal for me.

You can also hold the power button in for 10 seconds to do a reboot, the screen will turn black and then restart. This will also fix the issues. I also have had to do that a couple times when I loose the touch feature on the screen.

how do you know if it's up to date? A coworker did his once and his GPS put him in teh ocean and teh radio shit the bed. Had to be replaced under warranty. Anyone has issues with SW updates?

Mine just did it automatically one day when I started it, some features were missing/weird until I did a reboot and then all was fine.

I got a prompt. And agreed to the update. Might not next time till I have time to deal with the aftermath

I have been in the ocean after an update. They replaced the radio with a pull out of another Gladiator. Still had the guys xm settings on it. That was a joy getting that squared away.

I do still have offroad

I did the radio reboot on mine and all the apps came back normal except Off Road +. Two days later I got the Off Road + Adventure Guides app back, but still no GPS Trail Logs app. Off Road Pages has the little icon on the bottom left to turn trail logging on and off, but no GPS Trail Logs app. Did anyone else lose this app after the 33.43 upgrade?

You don't need to wait when this stuff happens. With the vehicle on/running, hold down the power button and the button in the center of the tuning knob for like 5-10 seconds. The unit will reboot and should return to normal. This has cleared up weird UConnect behavior for like ten years now.

I do the radio reset as a standard procedure after any update. It works for everything except the Off Road + package.
