I have seen where others had to drill a new hole for this same issue.

This is for a Daystar 1.5 level kit but has a similar shock extension. Starts around the 10 min mark.

unless readylift can help you out, I would do as suggested and just ream out the hole on the bracket to make it fit, and then torque it down real good. Sometimes you just gotta come up with your own solutions to make stuff work. It sucks, but its part of it.

Yeah, I would hate to do that as I'm not sure how that would effect the integrity of the bracket. Surprised I didn't see that mentioned in any reviews when I was searching before purchase. I knew I'd have to drill the bottom hole on the original bracket for the supplied bolt per the instructions but not modify the extension brackets.

Yeah just keeping people updated in case they run into issues. It does suck to pay for a product that is supposed to fit then it doesn't.

I edited my original post with a video I saw on Youtube about a similar issue.

Thats exactly what I did was drill a second new hole in the original jeep mount.

Thanks for the video. I had the same feeling he did thinking it would be a fast install because I've done numerous suspension swaps on other vehicles.
I drilled the bottom bolt like he did. The through holes on the bracket are just to low though and would be physically impossible to get any higher without reaming them out.

Spoke to Readylift again after sending them pictures. They are sending new brackets. Customer service has been good. Hope this helps anyone with the same issue and hopefully the new brackets will fit.

Not sure I would want to ream the holes. Its important that everything is snug and if those holes were enlarged could possibly get some slippage or up and down movement. I have the AEV and they fit perfect so it may be worth the wait to get it right.

I am waiting. They are shipping me new one priority overnight after I sent them pictures. So I'm super impressed with their customer service.

Good news. Got the new brackets from Readylift and threw them on this morning before work. No issues. I did notice that they appear different than the original set that came with the lift. The powder coat texture was different and appeared better which I know is cosmetic but also I noticed the bottom of the originals have two little grooves on each side where the new ones don't. The new ones also didn't require me to force them on. So not sure if the new ones are gen 2 or if my originals were for another model. Either way I'm happy and the customer service was top notch.
