Sport or Sport S

There are 2 tow packages available on the Sport and Sport S. I copied this from Jeep's website:

Max Tow Package with 4.10 Axle Ratio

• Heavy-Duty Dana 44 Wide Front Axle

A lot of dealers either don't know the difference between the two tow packages or intentionally misrepresent the difference between the two in order to make a sale.

My Sport S came with the Max Tow, which included all of the above. Your original post made it sound as if the Max Tow did not come with the 4.10's

4:10 gears are the only ratio available with Max Tow. This is what makes it so.

mine are black, and I have the 24S package....just got “woke” () to thefact that I have a Sport S and not a Sport. Walking a little taller now,

so does this mean, - tow package is towing capacity of 4500 and Max Tow Package (which is 4.10 axle) is 7650?

Tow limits depend on which Transmission you have also. Basic is 4500 lbs, but with Auto 8-speed Transmission and Trac-Lok® Anti-Spin Rear Differential Option, you can get 6,000 lbs. MaxTwo package gives you the 7650 max with the Auto tranny, but again depends on what other options you have on the Sport or Sport S, adding more weight to the truck, reduces cargo and towing capacity.

All the Sport and Sport S trims only have Sport on the back of the tailgate.

You can't get the Max Tow with a manual. It automatically changes it to auto.

Yes, I know the Maxtow only comes with the auto transmission, I was referring to other aadd ons like adding the MoPar lift kit, steel bumpers, etc, all of which add more weight, and reduce cargo capacity.

Interesting story. I put my max tow Sport S into the MyMopar site by VIN. It is stating 8105 max tow and 1555 payload. Kinda seems steep on the tow and light on the payload published numbers I'm reading everywhere.

Tow weight seems high, but the payload sounds about right, mine is 1150 lbs without the max tow package, so the progressive max tow springs should give your around 1500-2000 lbs, depending on the extras you have.
