Honestly I've never ran milestars but I have coopers before. Coopers ATS is a great tire and performance wise is pretty close to the KO2s. The reason I personally will stick to KO2s is because I daily drive mine and you want get he mileage out of the Coopers that you will get out of KO2s. I'll get almost 50,000 miles out of these 315's on mine which sucks because I can't go to 37's like I want to until they wear out. When I ran the Coopers on my JKU I got about 36,000 miles out them, 48,000 out of the KO2s, same size 35's. I just prefer what works best for me and I like to get the most mileage possible out of my tires. I have almost 13,000 miles currently on my 315 70 17's on my JT and they show very little wear at all. They seem to be holding up better on the JT than they did on my JKU but that could be because I'm running 41lbs of air in them and I ran between 27-30lbs on the JKU.

When these on mine wear out it will be 37 12.5 17's BFG KO2S on mine. I'm not even considering another tire. If they are still making them that's what will be on mine.

I hear ya...I don't even want to contemplate a 35" tire if I can get a light weight 37" and go down the road comfy, still hit 8th gear and or tow my RZR from time to time with out issue. I figured since they are more than a reputable brand, and the tire runs a little smaller than others but is also lighter and a 3 ply...good enough for the Ford Raptor good enough for me

I'd recommend the Rubicon take offs. Gave me about 1" lift with the additional spring length. Looks way better IMO and always get compliments.

If you'd like it a little more level the daystar 3/4" front kit is $39.99 on quadratec... I did all those things and am very happy.

Here are some photos to throw around for lift ideas. JKS 3.5 lift (3.5 front and 2 rear) with the same tire (35x12.5x17) and wheel (17x9 w/ -12 offset) size combo as yours except with Toyo AT2s. I’m not a big fan of stuffed fenders or I would have went with 37s. Plenty of room for them. This lift put the rear about 1/4 inch higher than the front.

As far as ride, the JKS is more stiff. I like it though compared to the bounciness of the factory suspension. It handles corners much better. Each kit will vary in ride depending on coils and shocks.

Love it. It's a great lift for a good price.To me that and a set of Rubicon take off Suspension components is a awesome setup. I liked it before adding the Rubicon stuff but the Rubicon suspension just topped it off.

For on road, you should be good. Off road might have some rubbing problems, search the forums and there will be answers about 35"s on stock suspension. Remember that most 35"s are only 34+ tall. A lot of Rubicon suspensions pop up in the Members Marketplace if that is the avenue you are going. I think mine rides good as a stock Rubi.
Look at this picture from last weekend, your 34.4"s might have taken out the right front fender. Maybe not, there are better experts here than me.

If you aren't doing anything hardcore off road, I would just do a leveling kit (spacers) with some Rubicon take-off shocks to retain the factory ride quality. Leave the rest of the suspension alone and get some Rubicon or other high line fenders for increased clearance and aesthetic vs more lift. The least amount of lift possible for your tire size is best for driving characteristics.

OR you can do a complete 2inch lift. I think a 2 inch lift with high fenders looks the same as a 3.4 or 4inch lift and sport fenders. Plus, the 2 inch + fenders route doesn't seriously change suspension geometry and is probably cheaper.

Looks fine without the lift, but it won't perform off road. Any kind of flex will rub the heck out of the fenders. We're currently running a 2" spacer lift and the front still rubs when disconnected and flexing. Next on our upgrade list is the American Adventure Labs fender mod which creates more clearance under the front. Next year we plan on a full 3" lift.

I’m lurking for Rubi take offs and maybe spacers On my max tow sport s. I don’t see myself going off-road other than the beach and maybe fire roads etc. not really looking to break the bank or drastically change the road manners of Sandi. I’m very impressed with how well the stock set up does on the highway. I found myself cruising without a care this morning and when I looked down I was at 84 mph. Newly paved road but that is pretty good to not realize you are going that fast. I dialed it back once I saw the speedometer.

Closing the loop here. Decided to go w/ the MOPAR 2" lift. Very happy, much improved ride quality. Ultimately, I wanted to preserve the warranty.

A lift doesn't void your warranty so how does that preserve the warranty. Never heard of a case where someone was turned down for warranty work because of a lift but I have heard people that they know someone it happened to, bit never any proof. I know guys on 40" swampers with 5" of lift that have had warranty work done on their JKs without issue.

Typo, not warranty preservation rather MOPAR kit has a warranty onto itself when installed by the dealer. Good call out.

Maybe that's what's being said but I have never saw it happen or have I ever been told by a dealership in my area that one would void the warranty. Heard and read plenty say they can though, just never saw facts on it other than talking to actual dealerships who told me what I stated.

I would think it could come down to the impact any of that lift or tires had on the warranted component.
