WOW! What a difference. While I WAIT.... I ordered the Gator Rubicon on 9/20 and was excited to get "as advertised". I guess I still love it but, for $61K I think getting what you paid for shouldn't scream " I guess I love it". Thoughts? I ordered the Armory wheels in Black. ON 37"s Now I'm questioning the desert tan wheels? Thoughts? At least I'm excited that today is week 5. How much longer? Just waiting for the call or build tracking.

Well Said. I just posted my "shock" factor but I did in fact wait to order truly based on the concept you posted.

Wait...what? You would cancel your order and go with a completely different vehicle for the sole reason of COLOUR?

I get not being happy with colour choices, but I'd just pick a different colour before I choose a different vehicle completely.
Yeah, not sure what I will do if I don't like the Gator in person so keeping all options open. I would also entertain going with my vehicle configuration in one of the Grays or the Blue, hope it doesn't come to that though since that would probably have to be a whole new factory order and wait time.

Agreed ! Now that I know EXACTLY what will arrive, I'm even more excited. I'm looking forward to posts that say ordered/delivered of Gator to help ease my anticipation.

any rubbing or need to adjust the speedo
No rubbing at all with 33s. There are some threads in the Tire/Wheel section regarding how close 35s might get you to rubbing; it sounded like it might require some trimming in some instances. 33s seem perfect to me since they fill the wheel well nicely and stay nice and tucked under the fenders. Purely a matter of taste, of course. I'm not positive about the need to adjust the speedometer. I was hoping the difference between going from stock 31.5s to just 33s would be negligible, but since you bring it up I am interested in hearing from anyone else if I should look to have some adjustments made.

This is my first Jeep so I didn't want to get too crazy. Probably best for me to make incremental adjustments along the way and see what works for me. I doubt I go much bigger. Looks perfect to me.

This is the same truck so it darkens up nicely in the evening or under cloud cover. I think black rims and blackwall tires would look terrific as well. I may plasti dip the stock rims at some point, but I really like them with the white lettering on the KO2s.

As a middle aged guy with two kids, that teaches at business school, and runs a company let me say this:
Unmet expectations are the true root of all evil.
All you need to do in this world is set reasonable expectations and meet them. No more, no less.

Now that millennials are coming up to rule things, this is more important than ever. People bash them but they are the first generation to call BS on unmet expectations every single time.
Your quote above is something I preach every. single. day.
Every quarrel in life is rooted in unmet expectations.
Don't mean to hijack a thread with this - just wanted to +++up your comment.

Just stands to reason - the first one posted was painted before the lines had been properly primed, so it looks a little less green. Now we'll start to see the real Gators!

Haha.. the first picture posted was on day 1 of gator production & same day @FXB101 was produced. So they are both the same exact color.

The 2020 TRD Pro green is what would have been my preference.
Funny you said that. I own a 18 JLU Wrangler in Sting Gray and a 17 TRD PRO 4Runner in Cement (Enjoy Both). In need of a pickup, It was between the 2020 TRD PRO Tacoma (Army Green) or the 2020 Gladiatior (Gator). After test driving both, the Jeep Gladiator won hands down. Now that both colors are out, I prefer the Gator color over the Toyota Army Green. I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
