Start stop battery suddenly working

About a month ago I left the gladiator on overnight (yes dumb) both batteries were dead. Jump started the main battery and the auto start stop hadn’t worked since.
Had a dealer recall done where they flashed the computer and now suddenly the start stop battery works. What voodoo did they do?

The flash may have reset the battery sensor. Same as disconnecting it for a few minutes.
