Has anyone replaced theirs? Mine has a melted connector for the heated steering wheel, I may be able to get it apart but if the scm gets damaged I may have to replace it. Long out of warranty so this is a diy.
I have not seen a detailed video or written instruction set for the JL/JT SCCM replacement. I assume it is like any other vehicle in that you straighten the steering wheel, remove the airbag, steering wheel and SCCM/Clock Spring. The new SCCM/Clock Spring should come centered with a locking tab that stays in until mounted and then the locking tab is pulled and the steering wheel and airbag go back on in reverse order.
FWIW, I have heard any new SCCM has to be "programed" enabled and that may be a dealer visit.
