Been having a problem with steering being tighter to the left and easy to the right. I have had 3 alignments and 3 dealers checked it out. Everyone tells me its a jeep thing and Chrysler customer service is going with dealerships. My buddy who is a mechanic lifted it up and moved the wheels by hand and he felt the tightness so I know im not crazy. Also last dealer recognized it and changed my damper and said thats all they could do. Any ideas?

You could disconnect the drag link and stabilizer, then see if you can still detect resistance somewhere. It might help to narrow it down a bit.

Binding/wore out ball joints or possibly axle u-joint if this were an older vehicle. Would be odd for a steering box to feel differently in one direction than the other. I think you need to evaluate all steering components under the front end.

this. Could be something as simple as a bad steering stabilizer, but you'd think someone would have thought to check that. Its like two bolts...
