Looking to upgrade my steering components. Most popular brands on youtube videos seem to be steer smarts and synergy. Not a big fan of all the adjuster sleeves used on the steering smarts components personally, had a similar setup on a HD pickup and the adjusters were always coming loose. Rustys offroad seems to make some very beefy steering parts with massive end links. Found a couple videos on this setup and the reviews seem great. Wanted to see if anyone is using these and your feedback.

I have the Metalcloak HD steering upgrade and the quality is great. Price is about the same as Synergy and a little less than Steersmarts. It utilizes a jam nut instead of an adjuster sleeve, which is fine, but after trying to dial in my drag link this past weekend I'd have paid big $$ to have an adjuster sleeve!!

1st pic is before I did the drag link flip and 2nd is after.

What issues did you run into with the drag link? do the ends have reverse thread so you can adjust while on the truck?

I just ordered the RPMSteering 2.5 ton Aluminum Steering set. The tie rod and drag link with the Falcon steering dampener clamp. They seem to have pretty fast turn around right now. There is an active, big discount promo code right now, search google for "RPMSteering Promo code". It should come right up. I will update when I complete the installation.

Those look nice and beefy. I do currently use the falcon nexus. interested in seeing the end result.

RPM Steering is better than all of them. My tie rod gets here Wednesday, will do the drag link soon.

I agree on the RPM, I’d just go 2.5T if I were gonna upgrade.

I have the steersmarts setup. I have no issues with the “clamps” never had issues with the exact same stuff on my JkU where I used them too.

my BFF just got the rpm stuff… if I have to replace… I’m going them!

Because of the stuff they have put out in the past.

Rusty's has never really had a good reputation with the Jeep crowd.
Oh hmm new to the jeep scene, did not know that. The RPM kit actually looks very similar to the Rustys kit. rod ends look exactly the same.

Yep, I bought the Fox TS prior to upgrading the steering components. When I first installed the MC components I removed the Fox and installed the rocksport that came with the MC. I was having some DW issues at the time and the rocksport did not do well so I re-installed the Fox along with it.

You know, I didn't think about the ends being reverse threaded...I loosened the adjustment jam nut, removed the axle end and rotated the drag link to adjust it. This required multiple attempts to get it correct and I still didn't get it perfect. I need to check to see if the ends are reverse threaded.
