If possible, I plan to reuse the ROAM Offoad armor steps that I currently have on my JL. I love the look and they are better protection than the body mounted rock rails that come with the Rubicon.

Does the Rubicon come with any Rock sliders? Are they the Mopar ones? Pictures?

The Rubicon comes with rock rails. However they are body mounted, not frame mounted. They afford protection but not nearly as much as frame mounted rails.

If you hear ANYTHING about mounting, let me know.
These are what I was looking at.
I'm going to need a set on day 1 or 2 as the 35"s will be installed on Day 2.

Check with @ROAM

My steps are body mounted but they make a frame mounted version as well. I don't know if they will be a perfect fit for the JT.

The very first, maybe second, mod for me will be those rock-slide steps. I'm saving up for them right now.
Yeah me too, this will be my second mod as well... The rock slide engineering steps look amazing :). My first mod will be the Warn Winch 12 S Platinum...

Would JLU Steps work without a ton of modification on the JT?

Due to the extra space behind the passenger door, they might look odd, no?

Waiting on the same answer.
Appearance wise, I think it would depend on the step style. A full step may look strange as it would end early, leaving a gap before the rear wheel well.
I don't think a tube style would be that bad as long as it mounts up.

I don’t know what the modifications are, but the guys from evo have confirmed that the body mounts are different, and that the area is slightly longer. So they won’t bolt up, and they probably would look odd with a gap.

Michael Strahan has a gap, it grows on you.

I am going with the Metalcloak ones. The rocker steps can be flipped from fully upright as a big rock slider, to a flat step, to a slightly angled down step. I have them on my JK and my lord are they fantastic.

A bit more expensive than others but for me I can not think of a better made step with amazing CS to back it up.

Assuming they make them... So far, I’m thinking ROAM, LOD, or the Mopar Enhanced Rock Rails from the StinGray modified one from the auto shows. Haven’t sent the MetalCloak ones mentioned yet.
