So I walked in the dealership last Wednesday. Ordered the Sting Gray Gladiator Sport S with the Max Tow package and most of the other goodies you can get. Hard top, Alpine, cold weather, convenience group etc. Paid invoice minus half the dealer hold back so about $750 under invoice. Texted my sales guy today asking for the VON or VIN and he called me back and told me he checked and my Gladiator is already on the books to ship this Wednesday and they should have it in the next week or two. He said I don't know who you know but that is the fastest order anyone at the dealership has seen including his grandpa who's been doing this for years. I don't know who I know either but I sure owe them a thank you and a beer!
You will know if it was actually built just for you or an order that's was in the system if YOUR name is on the sticker when it gets here .

I wonder if he didn't find you one on the locator as opposed to having it built....Seems strange to me that your order would have been put ahead of so many others waiting to be built.... It does happen but you really need to know someone to get it done... Since you did not have a VON or VIN, I suspect he found one for you already in the system....Dealer pre-ordered Stingreys have been showing up on the lots recently, saw one last night in Quincy, Fl.....
Oh really...? I’m in Tallahassee. Might be time for a quick ride!

Congrats @TaylorWoodham, I ordered my SG on 06/25 and got my build sheet on 08/19! Double Psych!!
Nice! You're a lot closer to the factory than I am so I'll be anxiously awaiting for you to get yours and hope mine isn't too far behind!

How was your experience with carvana?
I got lucky my F-150 burned up in a house fire (that’s not really luck I would have just been upside down otherwise)

That reminds me of a joke:

Two guys are talking at a cocktail party. One says "I have had a tough year. My lake house burned down in an electrical fire. But I got the insurance money and built a better one." The other guy says "I had a tough year too. My beach house got destroyed in a hurricane. But I got the insurance money and built a better one, too." The first guy looks puzzled. "How did you fake a hurricane?"

Hello,
My sting gray rubicon order was placed exactly 3 weeks ago and i haven't moved from D status.
waiting to be sequenced for build.
does that seem normal? I just want to see ANY movement, at least D1

Haha I loved the truck. It’s part of my job to set up new territories so when we moved into Chicago a year ago the company rented me a house. I took my truck up (2018) because we don’t get snow and my model 3 saves more compared to CA gas. Anyway I was back here when it happened. The neighbors house caught fire and it spread to “mine”. The lucky part is that my insurance didn’t have to pay and I got nearly MSRP plus every penny I paid for the lift, tint, gas in the tank, last detail etc. ($9000 difference).

If I was REAAAALLY lucky it would have happened the day before JT diesels get the green light lol

I may be closer to the factory now, but I ordered my SG JT from Travis in NC; therefore, I will have a drive to pick it up. I am guessing delivery will be a crapshoot, much like timing has been for everyone on this forum. I do wish FCA would have allowed the option for customers to pick up their JTs in Toledo. That would have been ideal and I could have saved on shipping too. I will keep you posted, but hopefully timing will be similar!

Join the club, I was 45 days in “D” status before I moved to “D1” and I know there are others who have waited longer.

That's funny. I was at the Tallahassee dealership on Monday doing an extended test drive and let the guys know I'm looking for a Sting Grey Rubicon. Sent them the build and have followed up twice asking if I could get a price. Crickets for three days now.

I went into D1 and then back to D 4 times. Currently in D1. Ordered 6/27. I know I am not the only one who has had this happen. Hopefully you won't be stuck as long as some on here....

My buddy said he saw a Stingrey Rubicon just like mine... that was Monday... we'd already passed by the dealership so I didn't get a good look but now I'm wondering if it was a JL instead of a JT.... he's seen mine so he knows what they look like...We we're headed to the Airport to pick someone up so didn't get the chance to go back around. If you get by let me know if it was a JT or JL.... Have friend s looking too but you've got first dibs if it's there! LOL! @spazzyfry123

There WAS a Sting Grey JL Rubicon when I was there on Monday. That may have been what you saw.
