They offer a sunbonnet top mesh or solid from the factory.
Yes, but....... he means instead of the top package "hard top and soft top" offer in its place "hard top AND sun shade/screen"
I certainly didn't want BOTH tops - that's sort of redundant to me - but I would have jumped on a hard top with screen/shade package when I ordered this truck.

If there was such a package deal when ordering, a lot of us missed that.

More accessories than anything. You aren't REPLACING parts the factory installed or put on.
Yes, a stock JT is extremely capable. Most changes are made because the owner wants it to LOOK different or be personalized, perhaps more "manly" with bigger feet, in some cases, more "gawdy" wheels, the "Transformers" look in some rare cases.
These are beautiful stock, as built, and very capable.
I also happen to like the looks of the stock wheels. I got Rubicon take-off wheels and tires because here in Iowa, you need a bit more bite in winter - snow, ice, but that's not really different than putting snow tires on your car or full-size pickup. I went back to stock (I like the Overland wheels) as hey, I own those tires and they are fine in the summer - quiet, etc. I'll flip back to the AT/3s for winter again.

Fishing rod holder - interesting...........
I would have been happy with the Overland Rims. Just couldn't deal with the bright silver rims on my sport s. So when I got an offer on 4 almost new rubi take offs and rims plus an extra Rubi Rim for $600 I couldn't pass it up. My only other plans are to add a few more lights since I use often early in AM before sun up when launching my kayak so its nice to have some extra candle power

Just put a mesh bonnet on mine and so far have to say I am not liking it. Gonna give it some more time but currently the thought is it will be coming off possibly.

WOW! I paid a grand for my 4 take-offs.
I wish I could find a matching Rubicon rim to use for spare.............. the spare tires are 17" so won't go on the extra OVerland rim I have - but I could get a matching Rubicon rim for the spare. At least it would match about half the year.

This is good. I haven’t seen anyone talk about lifts in a while, and a good lift really helps with the small breakover angle due to the long wheel base...

Oh no, it’s happening again...

Mesh sunbonnet ($150) or solid sunbonnet ($250) available as an exterior add-on from the factory.

Why don't you like it?

My max tow came with 34 lb. AT's in 245-75-17 at 31.5" design height. I put on the 255-80-17E Falkens (AT3W) with no suspension, etc. changes. I still consider my JT to be stock since they are only slightly taller than Rubi Falkens and weigh 10.3 lb. less at 52.5 lb.
I just returned from a hunting trip which meant about 100 miles on rocky two-tracks, etc. Rather than taking 3 stock spare tires and probably needing at least two of them, I decided to go with Falkens and never need the single Falken spare that is under the bed.

That's still not a factory package you buy like the hard top and soft top package is when you order. Yeah, you can order it as an accessory, but some of us would rather FCA bundled the hard top WITH the shade, not the soft top.
You won't find the shade on the Jeep order sheet when you buy your truck - you go buy it from the accessories counter/parts counter.

I have the spiderwebshade on mine now - so far, so good - but had Jeep offered something in a bundle when ordering, then it would have been part of the price of the jeep. Especially for folks financiing, it's easier to include it in the total cost than to come up with the cash later.

So why would we talk about elevators?

Do those bonnet supports count as a mod? I've wondered about those and if you have to destroy anything to attach them.

I have a lifetime supply of matching wheels (Sport S) since I found a set of 4 with TPMS, and another set of 4 with TPMS and AT tires. I then traded off all 9 Bridgestone AT's and applied the money toward the Falkens.

Mine was ordered from the factory, and is on my build sheet.

Saw no such option when we ordered - perhaps it wasn't an Overland thing - there's a lot you can order on them you can't on others, and the other way around, too. And the sales guy wasn't really pushing options either - we practically had to beg him to expand the screen and show us other stuff.

I bought a soft top JT from the lot and have never wanted to put on the hard top that I bought as a take-off shortly thereafter. I might be missing some amenity, who knows. My stock type JT took me everywhere I dared to go during my hunting trip and got about 21 mpg on the highway getting there. I can't ask for more. I am also reminded of the guide I had when sheep hunting 20 years ago. He drove a stock pickup with 4 different tires on it. He bought one tire when needed and was not a slave to style. He was a rancher and got wherever he needed to go,

Stock Support Group, I suggest adding a wheel & tire provision for the Sport / S owners. I had these spare tires on my JT for approximately 14 hours. I brought the vehicle home at 6pm and was at the wheel shop at 8am.

With them, it looks and feels as if something's missing. Like Ezekiel Elliott on draft day.

Ladies and Gentlemen, esteemed Jeep brethren, please don't be Ezekiel Elliott...wheel and tire your Gladiator appropriately. Thank you.
