nice work....nice and compact, seems to do the trick without getting to complex or eating up the pocket book

I like it. This could work for me for the summer as I just picked up a soft top from Craigslist. I’m curious how you have the hard top resting on your cart? Is it secured in any way?

I like it. This could work for me for the summer as I just picked up a soft top from Craigslist. I’m curious how you have the hard top resting on your cart? Is it secured in any way?
No it’s not but it’s pretty stable. I took a old shelving rack and widen it from 18” to 24” cutting welding two shelves together. Then built the base and put pluming insulation and carpet on all surfaces that would touch the doors. Cut the 4 post down to just above the doors and insulated. It fits right on top and I can roll it right back in the garage.

This is a picture that shows the post before I cut them. It’s just a cheap shelving unit I had in the garage. And no plane I just started building one day and this happened. At first the shelving was 18” wide but not stable so I cut and welded to 24” instead which worked great. Drilled holes through the bottom and put through the plywood.
