I was in D for 45 days, as was a friend who ordered a virtually identical vehicle from the same dealer a couple of days later. Both of our Build Sheets have "Special Scheduling Condition VII" on them. Has anyone else seen that? I have no idea what it is. I was worried when I entered JB last Monday, 7/15. But as of yesterday, I'm out of JB and in KZS according to my dealer...scheduled to arrive in Albuquerque on Aug. 5 then trucked to Cortez, CO. So only 3 days in JB.

After 47 days in “I” status, I’m here. Hoping I’m in and out quickly.

I love how they build the Gladiator in 2 days and then it takes weeks for a bed liner! I didn’t even want the bed liner but was told it was “required” now. I’ve only been in JB Status for a week

I'm not sure it's the bedliner? Mine only sat in JB for three days with bedliner being the only option being installed there(From what I've read on various options)

Maybe we needed a stuck in I status thread! I was stuck in I for about a month. I'm sure JB will be smooth sailing...

D1 6/18

Just checked and still in JB, The bedliner is the only thing i can think of that needs to happen in JB for my build. Was told again through chat that estimated 8 to 12 weeks from day of order.... just into week 11 so... we shall see:ontheloo::tumbleweed:

I’m currently stuck in ‘I’ going on 15 days now. Everything was moving along until this status. Although I checked yesterday and Jeep chat stated I had finally passed inspection but then today I’m still in pending inspection so I’m not really sure what status I’m in.

Same thing- one day they say it passed, the next day it’s still pending. I think they just sit in I while they get through the backlog of vehicles in JB. I was there for 47 days. Letd hope things are starting to move a bit quicker now.

Based on my time in ‘I’ it means something different depending on the chat rep you talk to. Half the time they would say it had passed inspection and was awaiting a carrier. The other times they would say that it was still pending inspection. Seems like it might be a good training opportunity to get all of the chat reps on the same page...

Most manufacturers quote 8-12 weeks on special orders and most deliver in that time frame. I've special ordered nearly every vehicle I've owned in the past 20 years. Some Gladiators have been delivered in 8-12 weeks but many have not. I just passed 12 weeks and am now confident it will be delivered late in the week of Aug. 5, right around the 15-week mark. I just sold my Scrambler for about half the price of the Gladiator, so I'm ready now. I'll start removing things (off-road lights, etc.) from the Canyon this week. I hated to sell the Scrambler (bought it new in 1982) but it just made sense. I'll be glad to drive the Gladiator away from the dealership without a lien hanging over it.

I was in and out of JB in 3 days. A friend who ordered a virtually identical vehicle from the same dealer 2 days after I did went into JB 2 days before I did and is still there after 10 days. The only difference in our vehicles is color (white vs silver) and seats (leather vs cloth). All other options are identical. Go figure.

Edit: There's a video elsewhere on this forum of RAM trucks going through the "Mopar Accessory Process" which is where bedliner is sprayed, bedrails installed, body graphics applied, etc. Everyone on here seems to assume bedliner is installed in JB, so perhaps JB is analogous to the Mopar Accessory Process. The video states that the entire accessory process takes one hour from beginning to end, with the bedliner being sprayed in 6-7 minutes. They further state that 300-500 trucks run through the process each day.

It seems like the only things that could cause a vehicle to get mired in that status would be a parts shortage or a problem with the bed spray...but this is pure conjecture on my part. They check the thickness of the bed spray after application. What happens if it does not pass? Do they have to remove it and re-spray? Simply spray it again? That's the only reason I can see for my friend's Gladiator being stuck in JB now...again pure, uneducated, uninformed conjecture.
