Working on installing the Steer Smarts Sectir shaft brace and not off to a great start. I’ve managed to get the nut almost removed now it’s just stuck. I just started trying to tighten it back up and it wasn’t really going and then it started to rain so taking a break. Anyone else run into this? Any suggestions as to how to proceed? Called Steer Smarts and they’ve never heard of this. 2023 Rubicon.

Wonder if there was some dirt or metallic debris in the threads somewhere. Let us know what you think of the install once you are done.

I had same BS . I ground the taper off the end of the socket so it had more actual socket on the thin nut . I used a air impact wrench to keep going from reverse to forward . I had to add a little heat with Mapp gas torch to help with the thread locker .

Old thread, same problem. I am Having a Hella time getting my 5 year old Pitman arrm nut off. Going to try the Heat induction gun, and a 1,200# impact gun. Either way glad you got your off.

I’d definitely try to tightening it back up then loosening it again. That worked for me. That seems to be a pretty common remedy, pitman arm, body mount bolts, etc. Goodluck man. I hope it goes well for you.
