What is the recommended plan for the spare? Are you buying a 5th aftermarket wheel and fitting it?

Are 37’s fitting on the OEM spare?

have 35’s and feeling buyers remorse wishing I got my KO2’s in a 37”

Not running 37s personally I’ve got 35s. But I prefer a matching spare, but I like to do a 5 tire rotation. I’m actually in the market for 5 new aftermarket wheels but even now I bought an extra Overland OEM wheel as my spare and bought a fifth tire when I upgraded. The holder fits up to a 37 I’ve hear although you may have to air it down a bit.

As far as the actual stock spare holding and fitting a 37, not too sure.

I run 37 Yokohama Geolanders and I can fit my 37’s under the truck (where the spare OEM tire stows). It requires you to air down your tire a bit and then snuggle it in their, but it fits. I also have onboard C02 so airing down doesn’t affect me like it would for a mall crawler 😂

Why do you use C02 and not an air compressor?

Not sure if you’re looking for personal anecdotes, but there are two pretty big benefits just from the design of them:

* Airs up much faster: can do 37s in about 40 seconds vs. ~2m30s from ARB Single 12v, for example.
* It’s pre-charged/compressed: no need for power, you get it filled like a propane tank. Means no running a loud compressor, or risking electrical/mechanical failure (a tank, in theory, could fail, but should be extremely unlikely).

My Cooper 37x13.5x17 did not fit underneath. I run coopers on all 4 and have a Toyo same dimensions underneath that did fit.

A KO2 in a 37 will fit they measure 35.8 when aired up on the truck to 34 psi. Not sure what air pressure my buddy had his spare at but it's under his truck. Goodyear Kevlar's mtrs I'm a 37 12.5 17 and Kanati trail hogs in 37 12.5 17 will fit as well. Those 2 measure 36.4 at 34 psi on the truck. I ran both and we dry could dry fit both under the jeep at around 15 psi. I currently am not running a 37 spare to cut down on weight but have one in the garage just in case.

My 37x12.5x17 Mickey Thomson Baja Boss A/T’s fit fine. They measure 36.5 inflated to 35psi, and it fits normally inflated, snuggly. And a 37x12.5 will fit on factory wheels or factory spare wheel.

Much quicker refill, and cheaper.
So basically, I made my own C02 system. Went to my local air gas company and purchased a 20gal tank (already filled) with the correct adapter ($60). Then went on Amazon bought the adapter to a quick disconnect then the disconnect itself ($30).Next item was the hose and the digital Chuck to check the PSI of each tire as I fill. ($30). Total less than $200.
Average price for a dual compressor (ARB, Etc) is $200 +. Then you have to have a cycle of 1 min use 1 min cool down. Typically. Taking that into account it takes more than 5 minutes to refill 1 tire (37’s) from 12 psi to 30 psi (argument sake just basing it off of my rig) C02 it takes less than 2 minutes to fill from 12 psi to 30 psi and there is no cool down, just instant on and off. So basically it’s just easier and more realistic. My hose reaches the entire vehicle and I can still use my tank to blow off shit on the bed 🤷‍♂️. See attached picture for the set up. I have it on a bracket and then ratchet strapped for extra security when I go off roading.

How big is the tank, and how many times can you air up before needing a refill?

Same as above. My 37" M/T spare is mounted on a stock Mojave spare in the stock location with no mods at all. I run an AEV 2" spacer lift.

That’s how my OE track bar looked as well. It was fine on the road, but would rub the spare at full articulation. I’m running the bent clayton track bar now, and it never rubs.
