here is my video review. I’ve never made a review like this so sorry it sucks a bit.
That was pretty great (aside from the portrait view : )
Would have been great to see More of the the top, and how it operates. Opening, closing, leaving the rear off but top up.

After the first setup, how long do you think it will take you to swap the hard top back on later, and vice versa hard to soft when its nice out again. An hour or so?

Yeah, a helper to hold the camera would be helpful. I forgot about modifying the orientation in the app. I might work on that some more.

I would guess you can remove the whole thing in 15-20 mins with an impact driver. It’s honestly just 7 bolts down each side, and you could probably leave the bolt holding the upright to the uppers so really just 12 total.

I intend to run mine from April to December for the most part. It’s in the upper 90s here today (and humid AF) and the AC had no problem keeping up.

Did you put Velcro on your roomerangs? Looks like you installed your roomerangs under door surround on the top, did you install the bottom piece above or below?

Here are a few pics I took during the process.

If you have the 8.4” audio the top won’t clear it. That’s ok. Just a note.

The header bar is a serious piece of metal and it makes it obvious why the top doesn’t fully remove very easily. I don’t really understand why they don’t use cam buckles like the factory, but probably just trying to pinch pennies.

It comes with some buckles that fit in the rear rail to hold the safari down when in safari mode. They work fine.

So I ended up trimming the safari buckle plastic maybe a 1/4” seems to be able to put more tension on the straps now… may do the same to the window itself also noticed after having it rolled up all day the front lip is coming up a bit took some pics

I did. I put a thin strip down the front edge since it seems the Velcro doesn’t fully engage with the other patch when wrapped around. Just figured some additional holding power would be a good idea.

I monkeyed with which way to put the Roomerang and felt that under the upper channel made the bolts reach through easier in that corner where they are hard to reach.

My wife is 5’4” and my rig is stock for now. There is no way she WOULD do it, but she could if she wanted to. I’m 5’10” and found it easier to fold the seats up and stand in the back seat to roll it up.

what keeps the sides in place. how quick and easy it is to do… things like that.
just seeing it in action helps a lot before deciding to buy it.
Same for the back window removal and installation.

Its not necessary but id love to see that.

It has a belt rail along the entire side just like the rear window. Pretty much every Jeep I’ve owned had that so I assumed it was common knowledge to Jeepers. Sorry for that assumption.

The belt rail is easy to do unless the top is cold. Then it can be a bear. Letting it sit in the sun helps (even on cold days).

The rear panel just attaches like we have shown at the bottom. Then you lift it up and hold it in place with two Velcro straps. Then the top lays over the top of that to create layers.

Here are the instructions, although they do a fair job of assuming the user has some experience with Jeep tops.

Here are some vids they have showing it done. Obviously they aren’t zoomed into the details because they want to protect their patent (I assume) but it shows the process in general.

I added the correct Velcro on the back and it seems to help drastically with pull on the rear straps, im going to trim that plastic on back as well but ill do that after the trip to Ohio… going to be interesting to see how it fairs out if we catch any rain on our 5 day trip towards the end of the week supposed to catch some rain in the next few days, hopefully I’ll have the same luck as tommy
