It has a belt rail along the entire side just like the rear window. Pretty much every Jeep I’ve owned had that so I assumed it was common knowledge to Jeepers. Sorry for that assumption.

The belt rail is easy to do unless the top is cold. Then it can be a bear. Letting it sit in the sun helps (even on cold days).

The rear panel just attaches like we have shown at the bottom. Then you lift it up and hold it in place with two Velcro straps. Then the top lays over the top of that to create layers.

Here are the instructions, although they do a fair job of assuming the user has some experience with Jeep tops.

I installed my top on Saturday... having installed a similar top on my JK years ago it wasn't all too difficult. The roomerang install wasn't difficult, however knowing whether to put them on top or bottom of the door surround was a hangup. I eventually put them on top. I used the original hardtop bolts for the hole closer to the door bc they are longer. As stated earlier, the back window could use better velcro. I'm happy to report that the top has not leaked while driving through hard rain. Overall, the top is what I expected, and for me is a better option than the factory soft top. I would recommend this top to anyone who does not like the looks of the factory soft top. I've gotten several compliments on it. If I wanted to be picky, my only complaint would be the white Suntop branding on the top piece. I may spray it black with vinyl top spray so it blends better.

Curious to see if anyone here has installed one with a bed rack.

I might put my bed rack back on while I have it. Not sure though as I may just wait until I swap my hard top to install my bed rack. It doesn't appear that it would interfere with it.

Overall I am quite pleased with mine. It has been either hot or rainy here so I've kept my top up and the doors on. I pull the back window when it's not raining (takes 2 mins to pull, reinstalls in 4-5) and just roll the windows down. My only recurring issue is that I keep forgetting to make sure the buckles aren't caught between the cab and bed so I have to pull the belt rail off to get them out. I'll learn eventually.

The only interference I could envision with a bed rack would be the buckles. Depending on what the bed rack system looks like, if there is a cross bar along the front of the bed then I could see it being in the way of things.

Mine arrived this week. I'm about to take it to a body shop to have the roomerangs and side brackets color matched in bright white. Those of you that have installed it already, how much of a beating do these brackets take? Should I do something to protect the paint job? Also, how visible is the front bracket with the top down and rolled up? Should I have that painted as well?

If you look at my photos you can see that really only a small part of the brackets are really visible with the doors on. With the doors off you can probably see a bit more, but the roll cage already has black plastic stuff around it so it blends fine.

The roomerangs don't really need to be hit or anything, just pushed and prodded into place by hand.

I personally wouldn't do any of that, but that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the insight. I have the Rebel Offroad half rack. There's no cross bar along the front of the bed. Maybe you can wrap the buckles around the headrest of the back seats if it reaches that far to avoid that issue?

There probably is enough material to wrap around the head rest when in safari mode, but with the rear window in place that wouldn't work.

so question is, do you guys feel that it's worth the price or would finding a used factory soft top be a better option?
looking to run something all summer long and it's gotta be waterproof for sure and easy to remote/pull down.

In my opinion yes, pretty fast to take off(2-3 mins) then to cover I’d say 4-5 mins to put rear window in and unroll top, to be covered I personally think it looks better than Oem with it being folded back, I drove 7 hours up to Ohio with my wife and dogs it can be a little noisy but so far no complaints
