Has anyone found any tailgate or bed rail caps that fit the gladiator? The top of my tailgate is constantly getting beat up and I'd love to hide/protect it.

Not sure I understand. You mean the plastic isn't good enough or yours didn't have the plastic on top of the rails/tailgate

This had me curious so I looked up the OEM parts through the forum vendor (All Mopar Parts) - the side bed caps are $28 each and the tailgate cap is $18 - at that rate they're expendable as far as I'm concerned. Replace them every few years if it gets bothersome

Hey that's good to know, thanks for the info! My bed rail caps are no worse for the wear but while the bed liner keeps the inner tailgate solidly protected, the tailgate cap tends to take a beating moving concrete blocks and such.

I have to say though, while part of me would love to keep the truck pretty, I get a lot of positive comments from bystanders about the fact that we obviously use it as a truck so those battle scars might be cooler than a showroom clean truck.

Speaking of - I wheeled my previous JK all over the country. Fourteen badge trails from Arizona to Virginia. I remember a guy saw my Jeep at work and noted that the wheels were beat to hell. Gouges, etc. He says to me 'man you must hit every curb in town!'. I pull out my phone and show him pictures of the Jeep in Moab - I said yea, some big curbs alright...

It also had a sizeable scuff on the side of the hardtop. It was from running over a rock I didn't see, which cause me to suddenly lean to one side and hit a tree - in the middle of the Utah desert. So we like to joke I managed to hit the only tree in the desert.

My new Gladiator has done some light wheeling now and is starting to show evidence of day to day use now that its reached its one year birthday. A couple hail dents in the hood, the hinges and rear fenders showing signs of being down gravel roads - inside of bed a bit scuffed up from gear bouncing all over. I don't mind it. Every mark is a story!
