Ain't no way its worth that without being motorizedOuch. $329 for the Amp step.
I love the idea, can't get past the cost. I'm into the HF ladder for $50 including the hardware I got from Lowes to use the factory holes.
Just installed mine yesterday ?I have. I installed the Harbor Freight steps. I redrilled the mount and bought longer screws so I could reuse the factory holes in the tailgate. I made up spacers to go under the mount so the plate wouldn't flex when screwed in. I found that I did not need more than 2 bolts. The mount is solid and it's not going anywhere if you set the ladder up correctly. I strap the ladder to the side of the bed and pull it out when I need to get up in the bed. It works well. I did have it attached but with the way we use the bed, it sometimes got in the way of stuff in the back which is why I keep it detached.
