Last week I was flipping through the dash screens and noticed that the Offroad page was showing that my front and rear axels were showing that they were locked, during normal driving operation. I tried hitting the button to unlock all and the light just flashed. Then I locked them both just to ensure they were working properly and they are. When I unlock them they both show locked still.

While I was installing my new bumper I noticed there was oil on the inside of the drivers front tire. The front diff looks like it is leaking but I can't see why that would sling oil onto the drivers side only.

Called the dealer today and I have an appointment for next Wed. The truck was only lightly off road for one weekend last Summer.

I hope they can find and repair the issue quickly I have some camping trips coming up that I really need the JTR for.

Took it out to a Jeep Invasion in Lake George NY. Stuck to the Blue trails which were not that challenging, but more than dirt roads. The hardest part of the trail was making some of the tight turns.

Well it turns out I have a cracked front axle. A woman turned left into my front left tire a few months ago and I thought it was just bumper damage. They paid for a new bumper out of pocket and we never reported it to the insurance company.

Now I have to get the police report and go through my insurance company to see who is going to pay the $4300 repair bill. I have a feeling I am screwed because I did not report it immediately.

Good news I spoke to a couple of friends in the insurance industry last night. They all said that there is no statute of limitations for filing a claim. As long as I haven't had any other incidents or been offroading with it since the accident, it should be covered by their insurance.

I'm camping in Lake George right now... any details on the trails? where is the trail head? what are the easier routes so i can drive the camper back home tomorrow?

The trails for the Invasion were on private property it was called 1000 Acre Ranch, I dont think they allow off road access except for events. That was the only time I took if off road so I dont know any trail heads. Check out 518 Jeepin and Upstate NY Jeep Club on facebook. They have some trails and roads they normally do on the weekends.
