36,000 miles on 2023.

Filled tank yesterday & drove 125 miles home no proble.

Got in today drove 20 miles no problem.

Started home and the truck started to vibrate when shiftino… felt as if road was really rough, new black top so it wasn’t the road, hit accelerator and the whole truck started shaking badly and the engine reved up but truck was not accelerating.

I pulled off the road, put it in park engine was running smoothly so I pulled back onto the highway…same problem every time I tried to accelerate it was having trouble shifting gears… vibration feeling as if it was hunting for the right gear…if I held the throttle steady no problem but hit the throttle same proble.

I got home parked 15 minutes got in NO problems

Any ideas?

I await your wise response

Go to a parts house or small time garage have them put a scanner on it. ( and ask them to let you see the codes)
I also would check fluid level in transmission . This sounds like low fluid level.

Yeah, but on a pretty well sealed system - HOW?
An automatic actually has to get pretty low on fluid to cause problems, and since these track the pressures at each point and the time it takes to engage, I'd be surprised if it didn't flash the MIL.

I had a similar situation drove to a dealer sat there for 2 days had no codes they said they couldn’t duplicate the problem so drove home for a total of 600 miles no issues. Found that the wiring harness that is on top of the frame was loose, and getting very close to the exhaust, the plastic clips where gone so I zip tied the harness using metal zip ties, hoping this solves the problem, getting ready to leave for a 2 week off road trip, wish me luck and I hope this helps

Ok have you tried to shift manually? To see if that helps. I believe that will narrow down the problem.

No I didn’t shift it manually but will try that today.

What is irritating is after parking it the transmission shifted normal.

I didn’t notice the problem until I took the loop onto the interstate???

I’m going to retrace my route today and see if it acts up again…the dealer said they would then scan it for codes.

Will keep you updated
