Can someone please talk me out of buying Milestar Patagonia X/T Rugged Terrains 37x12.5x17 tires from Walmart and keeping them in an unseated shed in the Northeast (temps range 10F to 90F) for 2 1/2 years until I wear out my brand new Nitto Ridge grapplers 37x13.5x17?

They are only $106/tire…

Not entirely related, but I’m also a motorcycle rider and conventional wisdom is to change tires at 5 years from date of manufacture, regardless of mileage. Clearly, there’s more at stake on two wheels, but I wouldn’t buy tires 2.5 years before I plan to use them, I don’t care where they are stored. Rubber will still get hard.

Depends who you ask
I do not have these tires so this is second hand info so take it as you wish but ive heard these are not really very good tires. Though at that price kinda hard to beat.

Very tempting, if nothing else, just to flip them. I mean with free shipping, that's a no brainer.

Some of us a couple years ago jumped on the Maxxis Rzr 37X13.50X17 for $116 each.

I jumped on their site and started looking too. I've got a different brand set in my online cart already. . . Not planning on going with that size. :giggle:

So far….terrible job of talking me out of it…
Well, notice my above post, if you are looking for that size and brand. The tires I currently have on my JT are one of those strange sales. 33/10.5r17 tires. The same tires are now around triple what I paid. :like:

That’s a steal. I might have to jump on this for a set of all terrains

I have yet to meet anyone running these who are happy with them or would recommend them. They seem to be pretty good at the start but fall off quickly.

My rule is to not skimp on anything between me and the ground: shoes, beds, and tires.

Good to hear, I was really starting to drop the hammer on a set. I've got about 3/8 in before I need new tires.

Any one know if they run small of listed size?

If they’re anything like the MT tires they run very close to true. My wife had 35s that were half an inch smaller than my Ironman MT 37s, and now she has the 37s and they’re about half inch taller than my Toyo RT Trail 37s.

Thanks, I've been talking myself out of ordering them. I'd like to only move up to 35s at most on next tires, going to need to recalibrate odometer and shift points in transmission. 🙃 I tow to much to go much larger tire size.
