Tan SofTopper on Gator Gladiator w/ Premium soft top?

Hello all. I am purchasing a gator green Gladiator with the Premium black soft top.
I plan to order the SofTopper canvas bed cap and the Datin bed rack which fits over the SofTopper. After looking online at other Gladiators with this setup, there is a difference in the shade of black between the softopper stealth black sailcloth and the premium twill rich black soft top.

So the SofTopper is also available in Tan color, which I believe would really compliment the gator green gladiator. I guess I’m asking if anyone has seen a soft top Gladiator with a tan canvas cap, or if this combination would look better than the two different shades of black canvas tops with the gator?

Below are pics from forum member en2dirt with their setup. This actually looks great with the grey Gladiator. But the gator green may look better with a tan bed SofTopper?

Ordered an ADARAC Pro Aluminum rack built for the Gladiator bed as well. Took a little trial and error before the SofTopper and rack played well together, but it turned out better than I expected.

After we make our big move to Florida from Georgia this week, I’ll find time to post more pics and maybe a small write up of sorts.

Looks great! I personally think the green with the tan looks better than the stingrey with tan. Nice!

Was hoping this thread was going to be updated with a tan on tan by A2 before I made the jump but if your still on the fence I went ahead and did the leg work. So its tan... Different textures as well as the SunTop is darker. Possibly something i could apply that would make the Softtopper a little darker possibly but honestly not but so much material show anyways.

Plan to take the hard top and get it sprayed tan as well. Hopefully get a better match to the Softtopper.

That looks pretty good. I knew it wouldn’t be an exact match. I like it!

I noticed that my softopper is getting a little darker. Or maybe it’s just dirty.

Looks awesome chesafreak! I wouldn’t balk at the color difference. Give it six months and the two different fabrics may fade/tan more closely to each other. But it looks great now, I dig it.

After six months with my Softtopper, no issues. I will say, however, if you ride around a lot with the tailgate window zipped closed, definitely try to minimize the contact with the rear plastic window from the clip straps that hold the window rolled up. Those black plastic clips that are part of the strap that dangle down when not in use will distort and mar the plastic window from swinging back and forth. Easy fix by stuffing the clips up under the last aluminum bar that makes up th SofTopper skeleton.

Love it looks awesome! I am pulling the trigger on a tan Softopper this weekend for my Sarge green Gladiator.

It is the end of the summer so will reconsider the suntop next year. I plan to refinish my hard top a different color as well so should look better than with the black top on it now.

You painting the hard top tan? I plan on doing the same here by winter time, been meaning to see if SoftTopper has a color code to get a good match.

Negative. I am 95% sure I will be refinishing my sliders, bumpers and maybe wheels more of a matte OD green. If I like the results I’ll do the top too.
