I'm happy with the 3.6.
It may help that both of mine have 4.1 diff gears and stock size tires.
When I drove it, it felt like it had just enough grunt to haul itself. But not more. It’s the wrong engine for the truck. If it was a 4.2L pentastar then spot on. But they never did that engine. Sadly.

1. Bring back the diesel
2. Corrects all the well known issues
3. Another engine choices
4. Offer a Mopar bed hard topper that looks similar to the JL with an option for swing tailgate conversion.
5. Onboard air compressor
6. Lower the MSRP by atleast $10k across the board 😂

Sell Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Chrysler brands to a US based auto maker, or at least to a company that cares about providing quality product's to its customers.
i get this comment. Not silly.

Doubt Stella Biggest Cheese will sell, it’s the valuable part.

to your point, it should be in largely American management team hands. They understand the product.

Jeep is a international. So it’s good to have some variety in management team. But should be mostly Americans.

..after all it’s an American automotive icon. That the larger part of the brand appeal actually.

Standard on 2024 forward.

My ask isn't that difficult:

A tan top. I'd buy a white one and slap a Scrambler stripe on the side so fast...
I could not agree more w this. A tan top ffs. How hard is it?

it’s not an open top jeep without a tan top option.
And yeah how about some periodic factory retro / look back packages?

it’s so obviously only idiots would missthe opportunity.
Just have a look at retro Nike sneakers!!!

Just look at the price of a new Ranger raptor. Granted it’s not a complete side-by-side comparison and a Rubicon versus the raptor. Some have standard parts while the others have other standard parts but the price on a base which is well optioned is 56 to 58 with a ton more power.

When I option out my rig for a current rig, it’s at or over 70,000 which is ridiculous.

What’s work?
Granted. Would it go harder than a Hurricane? It kind of is the 4.0 of the day no?
The intention isn’t to go harder than a Hurricane, the goal would be to appreciate the pentastar a little bit.

From my side It’s nothing against the pentastar particularly.

I’ve something against Nat asp small displacement bent sixes in 2.3t 4x4’s.

it wouldn’t matter who’s brand it was. We all suffered them in the late 90’s / early y2k’s and it sucked b@lls generally. Nothings changed.

gutless. Gutless and gutless. As in guts. Not power. Guts.

it’s a vehicle with a rating to tow/haul its own mass, in addition to itself.

no one will tell me it’s the right donk for the vehicle. It never was. It never will be and nothing will change it.

I’ve dozens of them. They all are not fit for purpose in the vehicle typr, spec and mass.

Nope and I don’t disagree, there are just a pile of first timers out there and whine about the 3.6 like it’s the worst thing ever. It’s actually about the most capable 6 Jeeps is ever had. Guys are yanking travel trailers around with them, not 6.7 Powerstroke easy, but doing it. Try that with a 4.0 inline…..try that with 4.0 V6 in an older Ranger, try that with a WK and 3.7. I think the Gladiator would be killer with an old 4.7 in it without all the 4.7 drama of course. I am no way a fan of forced induction, it’s another layer of components, heat and calibrations to go with it, I will opt for any NA option.
