It's ugly and I'm sure I'll still think that in person, but so is the Rivian. I, for one, welcome moving away from the generic look and feel of every oversized truck or car out there now. I haven't bought a Gladiator yet and the fact that I could get a 4wd/2 motor Cybertruck for less than a built Rubicon... that's interesting. Hopefully now that it's unveiled they'll start to show its offroading chops like the Rivian is doing. I love that both eTrucks are showing so much interest in the adventure market.

Which model did you pick?

For $100, seems silly not to...

What an epic fail of a reveal. Bulletproof glass my tail feathers. Gotta love when a monster size ego is brought in check on live TV. I'm sure it will be a fine truck as ugly as it is and I'm sure Tesla will fix the glass issue but still funny to watch it break not once but twice.

and thats just one item that they decided to publicly display, what other fails are awaiting? I think its a great idea, if it could go 300+ miles in mountainous terrain, carrying a load, otherwise no thanks. I don't need a $40k vehicle with a 50 mile range when its working. They'll get there, but until then I'm quite happy.

They didn't talk about it in the reveal, but apparently there is plans to make an option for the "topper" that closes over the bed be solar. They expect it to recover about 15 miles of use per day in the sun.

Hate all you want, at least it's disruptive and hopefully it'll push some innovation throughout the market. It's already one-upping the Rivian with its 500+ range and 16" clearance option (Rivian is "only 14" I believe.) We have a couple of years before there is pudding to test for proof, but there are many great conversations to come from the unveiling. Hopefully FCA sees this as proof that people would drive an electric Gladiator.

Not only is the "truck" fugly, the logo is too.

And FWIW, I have ZERO interest in an electric vehicle of any kind, especially a JEEP.

Not only that, but the "bullet" in the demonstration was much slower and larger than an actual bullet. Not to mention the guy playing the part of the "gun" throws like a bitch.

*not impressed*
