First trip with the JT in the books. Overall, pretty happy with it running 37s on the 4.10s at 75mph in 8th gear. Space was a bit tight in the bed with the cover and fridge, but the outlet I recently added worked great. Ran the fridge for the entire week off the starting battery. Love the height of the rack with RTT, especially compared to the roof of the 4R. Overall, I was very impressed with the JT off road. The belly didn't scrape nearly as much as I had expected it to. You may notice, I threw on a hitch skid. That took the majority of the hits when coming off of obstacles. Very minor scrapes on the rear bumper, and those were from coming off a ledge a bit too quickly. The wheelbase is crazy long compared to the old TJ. It seemed like forever waiting for the rear tire to come up a ledge compared to the TJ.

We drove just under 3k miles and visited Moab, Capitol Reef NP, Bryce NP, Zion NP, Sedona, and White Sands NP.

We only had time for one trail in Moab, so I opted for Top of the World to get that big photo.

We camped outside of Green River that night as we began making our way to Capitol Reef NP. A nice quiet spot away from everyone else.

The next day we made our way over to Capitol Reef National Park for a quick hike up Cassidy Arch and Hickman Bridge.

We camped just outside of Bryce in the Dixie National ForestForecast said temps would get into the mid 40s that night, but we woke up to a brisk 17*

We hung around Bryce for the day before making our way over to Zion National Park and Springdale, UT. We set up camp further south in the Dixie NF to a nice sunset.

Zion NP uses a shuttle system to get you throughout the park, restricting personal vehicle traffic only to the lodge for those with reservations. We were able to score a pair of shuttle tickets for 8am the next morning and hurried over to Zion Outfitters to rent a pair of waterproof bibs, socks, and shoes in last minute preparation for The Narrows.

We started at 8:50am and ended up hiking 10 miles through the river over 6 hours. It was an awesome hike, and one I won't soon forget.

Some areas of the river got almost 5' deep.

Left takes you to Wall Street, and Big Spring. Right takes you to Veiled Falls

Needless to say, after the 6 hour hike at Zion we were beat. The next day we jumped over to Sedona, AZ to run the Broken Arrow Jeep trail. The trail was fun, but very short. The Pink Jeep tours run their TJ/LJs through there non stop, and at a very quick pace.

Sedona was crazy busy, so we high tailed it out of there and over to the Tonto National Forest where we set up camp next to some big Saguaro Cacti. Not a cloud in the sky, nor a street light.

As time was running out, we made a quick stop at the White Sands National Park in New Mexico on our way home to try out the dune sledding.

Shout out to @DiamondBack Covers for sending me a pair of their new Tool Bars and set of Quick Fist clamps. The kit contains multiple sizes of quick fist mounts so you can mount anything from a small flash light to a 15lb CO2 tank.

Installation was super easy, mark the holes with a sharpie, drill four 3/8" holes (per tool bar) into one of the cross supports, use a small file to clean up the edges, push in the inserts, lay down the tool bar, and bolt them down. Install was less than an hour for both bars. The front bar may interfere with my ARB fridge, but it can be removed in a minute or two by undoing the four bolts. I had fun playing around with mounting different things.

Hardwired a Viofo A119 V3 dash cam. Removed the passenger side cowl corner, and folded the windshield down to run the wiring inside instead struggling with the firewall again. Then ran the wires up the passenger A pillar and up to the cam behind the mirror.

Also prepping for the next Moab trip and trying to figure out bike racks that won’t drag on every trail.

Not a real mod per se, but I ordered some Thin Skinz to protect the rear door panels. “Installation” took two seconds, and removal takes one second. Looks like they’ll protect the leather, but I wish they didn’t use such a glossy plastic, looks like it’s dripping with armor all.

Pulled the slush mats and carpet in exchange for ArmorLite flooring. Carpet removal was easy, getting the AL and trim pieces realigned were a bit of a chore. Ordered a couple carpet plug things to finish up the look by the transmission tunnel.

Returned this weekend from a week in Moab/Ouray with some friends.

The first night we camped NM.

The second day we quickly made our way to Moab. Two of us took the bikes out on the Navajo Loop, while the third went hiking in Canyonlands NP due to a recent surgery from a mountain biking accident.

Turns out the Mopar 2" lift + Teraflex 1" front spacer and 37s have a bit too much travel for the Rubicon electronic sway bar disconnect. It pulled the stud of the passenger upper link through the sway bar and smoothed over the threads.
