GREAT thanks! I am going to yank the seat and give the gear seat lowering stop a quick grind. I tried the leg replacement using 1 1/4" tubing AND the Misch brackets, that did not work for me. The Misch brackets are such heavy steel and are one piece for each side it gave a huge angle front to back for the seat and actually RAISED the overall height of the seat! i think with JUST a little back angle, my knee will be out of the dash and I am good to go!All finished. I got a decent back angle out of just chopping the back legs. The seat is visibly lower than the passenger seat now. It went back together so smoothly that I don't think anyone would look at it and realize that it had even been altered. This did the job for me, although it would have been even better if I could have dropped the front an inch too.GREAT thanks! A couple of pics of the seats, and one shot of the seat base that I cut off and rewelded with a 1Pics?
Our 22 is quiet now after doing the 3 buckle / unbuckle sequence...I've got a 2022 JT and a Tazer. The Tazer let me turn off the belt chime in my 2020 JL but not the JT. The on off buckle unbuckle trick doesn't work either. Has it been made untouchable now?
1. Sit in car with everything off and buckle seatbelt.
2. Press ignition button until you get to RUN position.
3. Wait for display console seatbelt icon to go off.
4. Unbuckle and buckle 3 times, ending with it buckled again.
5. Press ignition button until you get to OFF.
On the plus side not 2earing your seat belt deactivates your start stop feature.Absolutley love my gladiator but the only thing that drives me insane is the dam seat belt beep screaming at me. I don't mind wearing my seat belt but just a 5 min drive to the store or down a dirt road ...come on? And on top of that it doesn't stop like most past cars Iv had after 3-4 beeps. It keeps going and going and going.....is there any fix for this? Or setting ? Does it drive you guys nuts to?
My Volkswagen is a 1973, and it has seatbelts in the front and the back. That had to be a long time ago when cars didn't have seatbelts in the back. They are lap belts in back, but they are there, and they are factory. I think they had rear seatbelts at least back to the early '60s.Millions of us survived the fact that car seats were not around when we grew up. Seat belts were installed in the front seats of new vehicles and even those were not mandated back then.
66 impala had an option for rear seat belts. Most didn't get that option. My Volkswagen is a 1973, and it has seatbelts in the front and the back. I grew up mostly in the '90s, and I remember most of my very young life, we didn't really wear the rear seatbelts though. But would I do that now? No way. We used to ride in the bed of pickups all the time too. But I think we're smarter now.
