At what speed tho? Don't believe for a second you are truly getting 26.8 at a good clip. Perhaps at 53mph and a poorly calibrated computer it will show that.
In the 50s. On flat level ground on nag head/ outer banks 28 mpg going a steady 55-65 mph for about 90 miles. After going 400 miles to PA fuely& hand calc 25.6 that's me driving 75 80 mph the last 150 or so miles. Not too bad. This is with the tazer mini set at 36.5 in for my ko2 37 tires. As that's what they measure out to be per manufacture. GPS is matching my speedo so it's set correctly

Awesome truck. I’ll be traveling to Kitty Hawk next month actually. Will I be able to get around that sand without lockers in my Sport S? I’m on 33 inch Falken AT3Ws for reference.
Just drop your tire pressure down to 17-25psi and you’ll do fine.

Congrats on the new truck. That's an awesome color. So cool to make that trip with your dad. I'm originally from TN. That pic out your window showing the trees changing color makes me miss it so much. My parents are in their early 80's, and they moved in with us last year. My dad and I try to get some mud on the tires whenever we get a chance. He has a little trouble getting in my JT with the lift and the 37's, but he has a blast. He may be old, but he's a gearhead at heart. Enjoy it brother.

What trails did you hit at windrock? We're looking at going somewhat soon and want to try to hit the 3 badge of honor trails, 16, 26, and panther rock 51

51 and 26. I would not do 51 stock. I could not get to the rock or cropping sky 300 yards short of its training even less. Nemo Tunnel was fun water almost to my bumper prob 60 or 70%of my tires covered. It had rained the 2 days before.

Hand calculated a handful of trips at 50-60mph on 37's, I've gotten between 24-28mpg so in those stretches.

At 70-80mph, roughly 22-23mpg.

Totally enjoying this thread. Where in the bay area are you located? I'm up in the north bay.

I'm on 37s with a Clayton 2.5 and a good chunk of skids so I'm fairly far from stock, but yeah 51 looked tough and 16 looked especially brutal. Thanks for sharing and all the great pictures. Looks like such a great trip.
