Looks like it should just be pull up lock and wiggle. Could be some dirt in that locking tab to maybe hit it with some water or air.

Clean it real good with electronics cleaner and if that doesn't work try some pb blaster. The release clip on these won't pull all the way back and/ or they break trying to force them over a tiny bit of dirt. If you leverage the opposite side of the plug as you press the tab and pull might help also.

Ok, so the white looking tab/lock needs to be pushed all the way in, not pulled up.

I pulled it up to top position, it clicks into place, either up or locks in place down. the picture you posted looks like clip is up

I looked up the MOPAR repair kit model and it looks like if you pull back the white lock, connector should pull out. I do not see another push to unlock mechanism in this connector. Might just be baked to the thermostat and needs bit of persuasion to remove.

Edit: I would also try with the white lock tab pulled back, push down on it and try to remove the connector.

Bump. Just did mine today, pulled that white tab completely out and away from the vehicle, then was able to remove the main connector; all while using some small picks.

I didn’t find any good detailed videos for the removal, and then broke the white keeper on reassembly. Does anyone know what that little white keeper is called, or the part number?

Here is a commercial link to the connector with PDF's on the break down of the connector. Probably going to have to buy the whole connector to get the security lock.

Edit: Looks like they call the white lock tab a "CPA (Connector Position Assurance)"
