I have a Sport that came with the Bridgestone AT. Over the Summer I changed to a set of Rubicon wheels and MT tires. Last Winter was fairly dry, so I don't have a lot of experience with the Bridgestone ATs in the snow. My feeling is that they were better than the Mud Terrains, though I've only been out a few times with them as well. Opinions on this?

I'm heading to Vermont to ski next month, debating if I want to put the old Sport wheels back on for the trip. Better mileage and quieter ride at the very least, maybe better snow traction too? On the other hand, I'm lazy and they're ugly :)

Other options-
1 Re-tire the Rubicon wheels with snow rated ATs. This will most likely to happen when the MTs wear out, but they're still practically new, the cheapskate in me feels bad tossing them

2 Mount a set of true snow tires on the Sport wheels, but then I have ugly wheels on for almost 1/2 the year and the MTs will last forever- TBH, Mud tires pretty inapporopriate for my DD use anyway.

3 Least likely, leave true snows on the Rubicon wheels year round and drive my Miata more in the Summer.
