I'm installing a VHF/UHF radio under the driver's seat, but all the wiring I need (coax, power from an AUX circuit, mic extension) is on the passenger side. Not going to install on the psg side as the space is taken up by my under-seat air compressor. Plus I have a driver-side seat jacker and MOLLE plate, which makes for a super easy and solid install there.

Any tips on getting wiring to pass under the center console? Seems like there are no moving parts under there to cause problems, just the parking brake cable housing. I was thinking of undoing the front seat bolts, loosening the rear ones, tilting the seats into the back seat, then see if I can fish a coathanger thru

i recently drilled a hole in my center console storage so I could run a USB cable from my center console USB under the entire center console, behind the HVAC controls and infotainment poking out right beneath my RAM tough tracks.

I pulled my entire center console because I didn't want to drill blind.

From my experience, what i'll tell you is: if you don't have to actually remove the center console and can just deal with lifting it up to route things underneath, i HIGHLY recommend that route. Getting the piece of my console that contains the 4x4 shifter boot off was a HUGE pain in the ass. Every video i watched made it look simple... mine was not. You can lift the whole console up pretty high with the shift boots and knobs still attached.

To lift the center console up, it's just 4 bolts. 2 in front and 2 in back. You can lift it up a good 6 inches before the cords for the center console lighting run out of slack, if you disconnect those, the cords for the USB seem to have even more slack than that.

I had to lift my console when i installed armorlite, and again when i installed my ARB twin under-seat 4 tire system. I've also lifted it twice to tighten my parking brake. Lifting is easy. removing is a huge pain. stick with lifting.
