Tires are ugly brown!

One thing i've noticed is that my Hankook Pro XT tires on my truck are still black after nearly 3 years parking outside in Cali sun. All my other cars tires turned brown. Only pressure washed one or twice a year whenever i washed the truck.

For Halloween this year I'm removing one door from my truck and driving around with a vinyl sticker on it that says "Boeing 737-800 MAXX"

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant as well as recommended further up. It works extremely well. Keeps the tires looking new with out a glossy shine and doesn't get slung off down the side of the vehicle.

I have nitto's with the same issue. Florida mud never really comes off. I have grown to like the brown tire look. It's a jeep. Pretty is not the answer

Too bad planes are so big, I could probably ask around and get a BAC #'d decal. lol. 2 of my b-i-ls work there (but not on '37; one in finance division, the other on the tanker). Also friends with a guy who worked on the MAX battery problem.

iirc, you don't want to use the typical Armour All or similar, they exacerbate the problem. UV exposure is another cause of the coloring.

I am with the OP. We go wheel, literally first stop is the car wash to get the big stuff off…. Unload and then deep clean.

Clean vehicle isn’t a representation of how someone uses their rig. I like to think of it as a representation of how they treat the things they have… it’s like a tool, it gets greasy when used- still clean it up before it goes back in the box.

We just got out of DP4 racing a couple years back…. Same mentality, clean rig- go beat the piss out of it… clean it up to fix it up and do it again.
