Overland, no real lift, stock wheels - General A/TX tires - Love 'em
Great in rain, very easily balanced (my neighbor bought General tires for his classic car and it took almost no weights to balance his tires)

Just an idea, option, whatever.

I see you're a sucker for raised white letter tires like me. Looking good!

Someone might’ve mentioned this and the most budget friendly option is to find some Rubicon take-offs. I have a guy who works for AEV and always has Falken Wildpeaks for dirt cheap ($900), comes with tires and wheels. However, they are 33”. If you want to do 35’s, the Toyo AT3’s at 11.5 width and 35” diameter is your only option for stock wheels. If you do go to 35’s, you will want to regear, don’t listen to the people who say you don’t have to, because you do.

Searched a bunch before going the route I did.
295/70/18 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs on Overland wheels. Fit fine with no lift. No rubbing etc. I ended up adding rubicon take off and teraflex leveling kit. Only for aesthetic purposes only.

First pic is before and after with total stock suspension only adding the tires. Second is after adding the rubicon suspension. Third is adding the leveling kit. Again going with 295/70/18s you’ll be fine. Or even 285/75/18s which are a tad bit taller but narrower. I split the difference and chose the 295s and am happy. I’m primarily a city driver and the Coopers are amazing and super quiet. Yet can still handle an off road situation.

ThAts the tire I’m doing once the H/Ts are toast. I’ve done hours of looking and that is the one I keep coming back to. In the 295 as well.

I went with Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. Not super aggressive but good road manners. I have extra rims so I use these in the winter and the stock Bridgestones in the summer. Same size and nearly the same weight.

You won’t be disappointed. I too spent months researching and narrowing down even down to the size considering I kept the stock wheel which I know limits you a little bit. But overall I love them. Super quiet too unlike most.

An acquaintance of mine has 287/75-18s on his Wrangler and they look great.

I am going this same basic route, minus the rubi suspension - although I do like how this looks and I have a black overlander too. So, same size 295/70R18 tires with Overland wheels and the teraflex 1.5" leveling kit but the guy doing the install is saying I need to add 1.75" wheel spacers or they'll rub on the sway bar at full lock and won't pass inspection? Any issues with that? I'm not doing any big off roading, just full wheel turn in the parking lots and stuff like that. Also, did you notice much loss of MPG or power with these? Thanks!

That’s totally false. Granted I do run a spacer but it’s only for looks and I only recently did that. You can add the 295s even without the leveling kit, and have no problems. I had them before I did the rubicon suspension and the leveling kit and it had zero issues at full lock

That's only 20 mm wider than my tires. Granted, mine are stock diameter, but there's so much room left on my truck and it's only 1" higher than stock.
Skip the spacers - could cause you more trouble.
Sarge is right, IMO.
