It was Willy’s first long trip. 21 mpg was what I was expecting To get. What I wasn’t ready for was Willy to be squarely at 75 Mph. I love the Fireston tires and they do take me back to high school. But I’m not in high school anymore but I still do love the humm of a knobby tire. up to 72 mph was a joy ride! Smooth, comfortable, easygoing ride is what Willy gave me. Loved it! But when he hit 75 he tended to drift very easily in the lane. I guess you could say he felt very loose. in 3 years when I get new tires I think I’ll move to a more all season tire that would greatly improve the interstate ride. Now I do realize I bought a Beautiful white Brick and Bricks don’t get down the road smoothly. So I did the next best thing, I grabbed and cold drink out of the cooler and a fresh bag of chip, set the cruise at 70, NSR on the radio and cruised Down the highway. All in all my ride was great!

I just did my first 250 mile trip with the Falken ATs and they were stellar. There was one instance of a huge crosswind while I was cruising at 78 and the truck started to drift pretty signficantly... but I don't fault the tires for that one

Good to hear your first trip went well as you learned the characteristics of your new Gladiator. The Willy’s tires look like they will do very well off road and not the absolute best for highway travel. On the first long distance trip with my glad I got just over 20 mph. I had the original m/s tires that come on the 80th anniversary edition. I updated to Rubi take offs and now average about 15 mpg City/highway combined mpg. The gladiator makes a great every day driver!

I do close to 1400 miles trip once a month. I’m on MT Baja boss at’s… was nitto ridge grapplers… 37/12.50/17’s. Our vehicles do wander a bit no matter what you do, I have a full lift and upgraded steering.
I do the same… grab a drink and some snacks and just enjoy driving.

Were your tire pressures still set from the dealership?
