I'm getting close to 20k miles and my overall average is 17 or so. Yes wind makes a big difference. If you have the adaptive cruise control and can find a semi doing a speed you can live with, lock in behind them and gain about 2 mpg.

11 miles.

When I got into the vehicle I didn't reset the trip and the MPG was just over 18. When I stopped to fill, I took that picture.

Careful people get a little chippy when the diesel gang is getting 30-50% better mpg lol

There is an app that I use called fuel up. Every time you get gas you log your mileage and such and it plots out your spending, your mpg and all that cool stuff. I've only put one tank of gas through the truck so far. The car I traded in for this truck said my average mph was 28, not a fast driver by any means. The highway here is 55 mph and I usually baby it to that and then cruise control from there. I'm still only getting like 15 on a stock mojave with all terrains and auto. Hoping it goes up some. I love the transmission though.

bought the Mojave last Friday - 2200 miles later. 16 mpg average. All highway miles. I did put 35 / 11.5 on brand new. I put 50k a year on a truck - we will see what she does.
I put close to that mileage on a truck as well....how is the steering/float on windy days?
Comfort level on the ride overall?
Still torn between this and the Rebel which I have yet to test drive.

fuelly gives pretty accurate fuel estimates. The Mojave is not going to get the FE of a Sport under similar driving conditions.

Fuelly averages
Mojave = Based on data from 7 vehicles, 71 fuel-ups and 16,474 miles of driving, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator gets a combined Avg MPG of 15.35 with a 0.50 MPG margin of error.

Rubicon = Based on data from 40 vehicles, 1,001 fuel-ups and 227,883 miles of driving, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator gets a combined Avg MPG of 15.35 with a 0.19 MPG margin of error

Overland = Based on data from 9 vehicles, 126 fuel-ups and 37,394 miles of driving, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator gets a combined Avg MPG of 17.93 with a 0.57 MPG margin of error.

Sport S = Based on data from 27 vehicles, 505 fuel-ups and 135,412 miles of driving, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator gets a combined Avg MPG of 17.47 with a 0.34 MPG margin of error.

Diesel Models = 1 Diesel at 19.4.
2021 Wrangler Diesel = Based on data from 32 vehicles, 220 fuel-ups and 62,359 miles of driving, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler gets a combined Avg MPG of 19.87 with a 0.50 MPG margin of error.
Best my stock sport S ever got is 15.4 at steady 75. I challenge your margin of error. 14.5 on commute, just two lights and rolling two lane at 35 to 50.

I have 26k on the clock in 10 months now, w/several different setups.

I think people forget that there are so many different fuel mixtures around the country and those mixtures have a huge impact.

We've done several trips that included a full Coast to Coast.

disclaimer:
- Never initially checked settings; but always used a GPS and speedo and mileage were dead on. -- Fill up pump math was always around +/- .1-.2 mgps
- Almost always drove speed limit + 5-10 unless it was already an 80 zone, then stayed around 80mph

2020 JTR NEW
-First 400 on open road
22 mpgs

-Added a U-Haul (5x8) loaded
From Seattle to Co we avg. 15-16mpg

-Once life got flat like KS, (and head windy) our MPG dropped to about 12.5

By the time we made it to Va about 4k on the clock, our MPG avg was about 14.

- Once we removed the trailer; daily was 20-21ish.

-Added 37s (and Tazer), this dropped to 19-20ish

-Added tonneau cover (same)

- Added JCR 1/2 rack, 18ish

- Added RTT just under 15.5 over 75mph; 16.5-17 around 60mph

- Loaded up with all above and bikes for our last big trip:
---> WV to Fl: 13.5
---> Florida 14.5
---> (flats like) Ok, Tx 13.5, **added wind (11.5)
---> Az, UT (mixed driving) 14.5
----------------------------------
By the end of our trip: 6k miles: We avg. 12.9 because the open windy roads of Nv, Tx, and Ok, killed us all economy. We stayed in 5th and 6th (tops) most of the day.

- Around WV mountains as a daily with RTT & rack, it's been about 16.5-17.
- I just removed everything to because I need the rear glass replaced and I'm back to 19-20 with just 37s and a tonneau.

I have about 1,300 miles on my Mojave and I finally figured out how to fix my gas mileage issue! Go into the das settings and turn off the gas mileage display. Now I am not concerned about seeing this anymore.

July '20 - added winch, bumper, lift , 315/70-70
Feb '21 - 4.56 gearing

I go the speed limit..65mph/with cruise...and in town.

20k miles on odometer = 14.9mpgs

I was on a flat highway, no wind to speak of this week heading home - cruise set to 65mph it went back and forth from 16-17mpg

I love my truck but it amazing how some have great to decent mpgs and there are others that don’t.

FWIW... the first tank I had 19mpgs. Probably due to most of it was coming from dealer and tailwind. I avg 17mpgs stock.

I don’t care what the mileage I get is. I love this truck that much. My dad used to drive 2 miles out of the way to save a penny. Drive it, love it, learn to duck and weave at what it jabs at you.

I have only had my Willys for a week so haven't had a chance for any long trip mileage results. But around town I've been getting 17.5-18mpg. I'm not complaing because that is only a few worse than I was getting in my 2019 Grand Cherokee. I just got back from a trip to NC from Delaware a few weeks ago right before I traded the GC. The best I could get is 22mpg. Now my former F150 4x4 supercab with the 2.7EB was a different story. That same trip to NC I got 26mpg. And around town daily driving I rarely fell below 20mpg. That's crazy for a full size truck that would throw you back in the seat when you punched it. I've always said that Jeep really needs to use something similar to that 2.7 in the Wranglers and Gladiators. Tons of torque, good towing capacity and great mpg.

These trucks make GREAT daily drivers because they are so comfortable on the highway - or any road for that matter)
Drove straight through Des Moines to Fort Wayne last Feb, and then straight through back again 2 days later. We only stopped for fuel (and pee breaks - I'm getting old and drink a lot of water and diet coke). Sure, I stretched and walked a bit each time, but the drive was easy and fun in that truck. Almost 8 hours if you never stopped, over 8 with fuel breaks. Hardly a long drive in that truck.
I have to agree with you. This truck is comfortable on long road trips. On our way back from Colorado, we needed to make 500 miles a day in order to get back in time for prior commitments. Stopped for gas, stretched, loaded up with Diet Coke and back on the road. Got up the next day and did it all over.
