I will always prefer top and doors off . I Couldn't wait the morning after I bought I stripped it down and went to the beach . Good ole Florida summer an afternoon shower came in and poured . Gladiator proved to be quite water resistant but not water proof lol .Second day owning and made a memory I will not soon forget. Live free and take that chance you'll look back and smile

In West Texas so the summers are hot, temp over 100 top and doors are on to use the AC, top and doors have been off for a while now it stays in the garage at night and as Hawkeyes3312, I have other options if it looks like rain. For me if the top is off the doors are off, it takes me about 25-30 minutes to remove everything and about 45 minutes to put it back, seems I am always more careful putting back as to not scratch anything than I am when I take it off. It's starting to get cold here high today was 49 and rainy, probably going to put the top and doors back on for the wife, even though she has other options she likes to drive the Gladiator. I drive my '19 F250 most days to work, never know when I will have to pull a big trailer.

U Florida folks - we'd leave top and doors off if it was 50 degrees.
Temps in the mid-20s at night, mid-30s daytime now, snow - I guess if I had mine, it would be top on, doors on. Don't like driving a vehicle full of snow.

My SX4 WAS my DD until I bought the 04 WJ Special Edition from Dad's estate now it's my daily driver. That may change if the Gladiator ever arrives............ MPG will be about the same, I get 18 with the WJ (low to mid-20s with the 4.0 in the SX4)

My wife asked if I'd ever take the doors off or the full top clear off - dunno, we'll see........ don't have room to store things because garage and shop are so full of cars and stuff. But you can bet the front panels will be out - we miss her 90 Camaro with t-top!

I try to go topless and doorless as much as possible. In GA you never know when it is going to rain so you have to assume some risk. Generally speaking if it's above 60 degrees the doors are always off. I get cold rather quickly when the Jeep is naked but then again in 100 degree weather having a naked Jeep isn't exactly fun either.
Same here in GA. 60 and sunny is nice. 85 is bearable and too much over 90 gets to be too hot for my liking.

Now we are having 40s-50s at night and 60s-70s during day. I will start the day with the back out and then drop the top at lunch. I have the soft top. I have only removed the doors on the weekends when I know it will not rain. I park outside at work and do not park in my garage at home (kids crap and wife's van in garage).

Still driving my JK. Doors are off 90% of the time. They were only on this year when the hurricane was bearing down on Florida. Hard top is on all the time. Perfect combo for me as I get sun protection but still have it nice and open. I did just get a bikini type top to try out.

I don't worry about rain. I bought the Jeep with the idea that it was going to get used. I don't get very wet when driving in the rain normally. On occasion I might get hit hard, but I don't wear a suit to work so no worries.

I have a locking storage box in the back for things that I don't want to get stolen.

Oh yeah - I put the doors on for long road trips as well.

Part of me asking this question is here in Florida I do see a lot of guys in the rain with no doors....made me wonder how wet you get and how annoying it actually is

Unless the rain is very hard and/or being blown in from the side I don't get very wet. The worst part is getting stuck at a stop light with wind from the side. I did get completely soaked one time. Looked like I had fallen in a pool. But hey, that's Jeep life in my book.

The Jeep is my daily driver, btw. I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule if I need to avoid a shower coming through by waiting it out. Worst case, I use my wife's car.

I'm in GA too and agree about the heat. Got mine this July and have already had the freedom tops out more since it's been cooler. Feels like the line might be around 60 degrees for me! Haven't actually gone completely naked yet. Wanted to at least get some kind of bikini top I could throw on in a hurry if needed.

I've been looking for storage solutions as I had the top off more this summer than any and I hate having my golf clubs in my jeep out in the open. The Tuffy boxes limit the room so I think I'll be making a lid out of plywood and using the same bolts that you use to secure the hard top for secure the plywood lid. Should be a fun project and cheaper than some of the other solutions.

Can't wait to get a Gladiator in the future and have a truck bed with cover to have a more secure place for stuff.

Sounds like a great idea! I am looking forward to the truck bed in my soon to be ordered Gladiator as well.

Northeast Alabama. I’m doors off and sunbonnet since I got home with it last month. Put the hard top on last week (mainly because I had just installed the hotheads and didn’t want to hoist it back up). Still doorless and I’ll stay that way till the first frost. Plan is to yank em all back off after pollen season in late spring and ride that way thru the summer months. I’ve got a Subaru for my daily driver so the Jeep can stay in the workshop on rainy days. I’ve always wanted a Jeep to be able to strip the top and doors off and that’ll be how I roll as long as I can.

I know we have the bag...but I am always thinking it would be really nice to be able to strongly secure the freedom panels in the bed without worrying about scratching them up
