Hi,

I put a gouge in the hard plastic on the rear of passenger seat. Photo attached. Years ago I remember a touch-up product for plastic that included a texture stamp to make the repair less visible, but can't seem to find it again. Also curious if there may be a particular touch up color spray paint?

Any advice much appreciated!

Haha I've just been going eeewwww and then rubbing a little spit on it with my thumb. Limited results.

Interested to see what better options are out there. Watching.

Haha. I'll try that being sure to rub hard!
Lol. As silly as it sounds have had success with extremely light scratches... yours may require cat spit though... deep one there.

Have a few the spit/thumb sand just ain't workin on. That larger rear seat did a number on my trim when I took it out. Well not that bad but enough I hope to see some solutions. I'm probably the only one that would notice

Pulled in the driveway with my 2 day Overland model and the neighbors huge german shepherd comes barreling to me, the window was down. Jumps up and puts his paws up on the doors edge.
No scratch on the outside paint, but I can't unsee the divots on the interior trim.

That sucks, but sounds like it could have been way worse if the dog had scratched the door up, at least you can easily replace the door panel.
How do you stop it from happening again?

Sorry for your dilemma. :crying:

Not a perfect solution, but an inexpensive temporary solution to hide the blemish to keep it from being so irritating. I have used the loop side (soft) of self-adhesive Velcro to hide faults in black plastic before with some success. Put two Velcro covers one on each side of the driver seat back and also match the the back of the passenger seat, to make the cover up symmetrical.

Wish I knew of a better solution. At least it's in back and not always in view from the driver's seat.

Thanks for all the tips. I saw this youtube video. A little elaborate but with a great technique to match texture. Perhaps not worth all the trouble for a simple gouge?
