My touchscreen recently stopped working after it started glitching and turning off, it even changed the language in my truck to French. I can no loner use the touchscreen and sometimes, I can't even toggle through the screen when my phone is connected with the Aux cord. I also cannot change the temp in the car with the screen or regular knobs. SMH
I was wondering if it could be due to the Auxiliary battery being out? It's been out for a while but does not bother me and did not seem to impact anything else.
Should I replace to see if this will correct the issue.
Any ideas what it might be?
Research I've done shows it could just be the radio only. Should I just spend some cash on a new one?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you have removed your aux battery and still have ESS enabled and use it, you could have caused an issue due to low voltage supply to the electronics during an ESS event. That it why it was there to begin with. If you have an ESS disabler installed, then the aux wasn't the cause of you screen to crap out. Did you pull the fuse for it and let it reset? You would need to look up that fuse number, I do not recall off the top of my head.

How old is the truck?

Did you remove the Aux Battery, or is it just failing the startup test?

Aug battery issue aside, have you tried a hard Off/On reset? Try holding the on/off volume knob AND tuning knob to the right down together for as long as it takes to reset, around 20-30 seconds or so. That will reset to default factory settings. It that doesn’t help try the small battery. If your truck is at least 3 years old? Then maybe both batteries should be replaced?

My gladiator is a 2020, so yes sir, it's older than 3 years. I have tried the hard reset, that didn't work. We also most recently tried removing the radio fuse to rest that way as well. No dice.
Thank you for the suggestions.

I did not install a disabler, the on/off just stopped working once the battery went out. I did pull the fuse, but that did not help. Thanks!

She's a 2020. Have not removed the battery just yet.

I would suggest starting with battery replacements. Get your electrical system in proper working order, and then chase down the problems.

At this point replacing both batteries is the only option. That might take care with the proper power requirements. Or having that situation settled to diagnose from a more controlled environment. I would suggest, if you have the $$$$ to do so look into Dakota American made lithium ion batteries, that may be pricey, but come with 8-11 years warranty! Good luck!

I was able to research more. I removed the fuse associated with the aux battery and now my light is gone and no longer pulling power. Touchscreen is still not working. I’m thinking next step is to pull the panel off and check behind the screen/radio for any issues.
just gotta figure out how to do this. 😖

The hard/soft reset doesn’t work for me.
I’ve tried multiple times.
