EXACTLY. I brought my Husky WDH to pickup our travel trailer, the dealer set it up for free. Their tech walked me through it and hit all the high points the instruction manual had.
Your empty load is nothing like what you'll tow with on the regular. Once you grok the system it makes sense and you'll be fine doing it yourself.
I'd avoid the dealer interference and tow it home on a bare hitch, 3100 lbs is really no big deal. I use a Curt Echo brake controller, you will DEFINITELY want a controller for that. I don't speed with the travel trailer, 62 MPH is my happy spot, keep it between the lines and have fun.
Oh, and look into Thorn Engineering mirror adapters to get those JK extended mirrors for towing.

I'm also thinking that if they adjust it when I pick it up from the dealer, I'm going to have to redo it when I have everything loaded up for our first weekend, to account for the extra weight in the camper and Jeep, right?
