Temps are dropping and so are my tire pressures. Yesterday my TPMS warning light came on. Told me 33 psi is too low on the left side but OK on the right. I thought that was weird, almost a reflection of our political parties not agreeing on anything. But today it got better, now 33psi is too low on the left, but 32 psi is OK on the right. What weirdness is this? thought y'all would get a kick out of it.

Tazer can set low PSI.

TPMS sensors seem to suck with pressures less than 30psi imo…

or disable it :-P

Yup, had to taze mine, set the psi to 25. I'll disable the tpms all together for doing 5 tire rotations soon, hopefully find a good deal on some new rims in the up coming weeks.

Interesting. Mine were running 30 and my TPMS did not go off. Heard they were not supposed to go off till about 28 PSI. Just adjusted them anyway to 36 for winter.

Why not just buy a 5th tpms? They’re around $25 I think for the mopar ones.

So a live, 5th sensor in the spare will not mess with the system? Think maybe I need to do more research on how the tpms detects location.

Same thing happened to me due to drop in temperatures - from My experience; the tpms light stays on (even after subsequent starts)until you air them all up to 36psi. (If you have default settings). Annoying

It detects the 4 mounted tires, not the spare when it is under the bed. I had to. Have my 5th Tpms activated by the dealer but others have not had that issue.

Good deal, thanks for the info.
Also have heard people positioning their 5th sensor in the spare such that’s closest to the license plate when tucked under the bed, to keep it further away from the actual wheel sensors.

I put on a new set of tires and wheels and didn’t bother putting them in. Used the tazer to turn it off. Old school is better to me. That’s what a tire gauge is for.
