I’ve seen people saying TPMS for JK (2013-2016) that use 433mhz work with JT so I bought them and installed on the new wheels but my 2021JT doesn’t recognize them. Am I supposed to reset or something? The part number for TPMS I bought is 56029398ab

I had bought a set of 5 off Amazon with the part number OP posted when I had my wheels and tires for my 2015 jkur I kept those wheels tire tpms combo when I traded in the jkur and bought my 2020 jt sport s mounted those wheels tires and tpms combo hadn’t had an issue? Where did you get those tpms from?

FWIW, One of my previous Jeeps was a 2016 JK. I bought a used set of JL Rubi wheels, without sensors, and some new 35" tires from Discount Tire. I bought TPMS sensors from them, because I wanted to keep the stock wheels tires and sensors intact. They knew what frequency I needed for the 2016 JK. I assumed they were the same as the stock ones.
Anyway, I yanked the JL wheels off the JK when I traded it in on the Gladiator. I put those same wheels and tires on the new Gladiator and it picked the sensors right up. I've since bought new wheels for the Gladiator and put those same sensors in them. Still working like they should.

I got them from Amazon. It had a lot of good reviews.

Lets assume the sensors you have are a go for your JT and that they are healthy... anyway do try this.. and be sure to follow the instr. exactly..

-->The current thought by most TPMS retailers/vendors, is IF you have one or more sensors not reading on a say a JT or JL/JLU, you deflate all tires to 12# below the recommended tire pressure, driver's side door sticker that tells you recommended tire psi. Now, after they are deflated you drive say a half mile. Now, you inflate to to +- 1# psi, of the recommended psi on the driver's side door sticker and go for a mile drive..

This scenario/routine is suppose to wake up the sensors, so to speak and get them reading...

Note: Used to be it you just over inflated and drove but current/new approach is to do as I mentioned.
I will try this tomorrow. Please forgive my dumb question, first time Jeep owner, how do you deflate tire? I always go to free air station at Belle Tire. Does it deflate to the set pressure?

Not to hijack this thread, but can you use the TPMS sensors from the stock wheels and transfer them to the aftermarket wheels?

For the JT:
Schrader 29093
Mopar 68464665AB

In regard to your JT's TPMS:

-
How does the JT know which tire/rim/wheel is where .....

Well, there are 3 sensors on the chassis that monitor the 4 TPMS Sensors found on the 4 tire (rim) positions.

Info from the 3 chassis sensors is transmitted to the Wireless Control Module. There is no need for a 4th chassis sensor as the computer uses the process of elimination to determine the fourth tire location.

Yes, the JT knows exactly which rim is where, usually within seconds of a tire rotation for example. Yes, It's all done automatically.

There is no TPMS sensor in the factory mounted spare on a JT ....but it if you add a sensor to the spare, (you can add) that spare's sensor, is not read by a chassis sensor/ considered by the computer until it is placed in one of the 4 tire positions.

.
Been busy with work and finally I had a chance yesterday to follow your instruction... unfortunately it didn't work..

One of the sensors (front driver side) started working before I tried the reset procedure but the rest of 3 sensors are not responding. Discount tire had a scanner tool but it didn't recognize the sensors even the one that is working. I'm stuck at this point :( At least Amazon will refund for the sensors but I will need to pay for tire mount/balance again when I get new sensors.

From what i understand, they changed the operating frequency later in jk production, 2013? From 315 MHz to 433MHz. At one point they may have been dual frequency. Then finally just 433 MHz. So later jk tpms sensor would work.

From what i remember the older ones had metal valve stems. The newer ones are rubber. Which is better since the metal ones were brittle and would break off offroading. I proved that twice.

The wheels on our JT came off our JKU on the lot, no tpms issues what do ever. Stock JK sensors on aftermarket wheels with 35” tires.
